The only problem is I didn't get the collar that goes with it.
Very easy to install with two people, one dig and one bury the no cable. I removed the power supply and demand transmitter from my old house before I moved. A newly fenced yard and the new batteries in the collar gave me allot of peace of mind.
we have had it less than a year, it works great. When our 65 pd. dog kept running through all we had to do was switch the short probes for the long ones. The only issue we have, our 2 puppies play rough with each other and keep breaking the collars. It is also easy to break the wire when burying it.
This works incredibly well for our 15 lbs puppy. It was alot of work though. We have an acre of land and it took us a long time to do everything. That's not a negative point to the company just more of an fyi for others. We have been very pleased with this product and would recommend to others.
This is a pretty straightforward setup. I bought it as a replacement for the original wire that came with the kit (moving locations). It came quickly and was well packaged, everything show and listed was in the box. Overall great product. The one down side was I dropped the spool while reeling off the line and one side fell off, it then would pop off easily for the rest of the install. Obviously this was my fault but a slightly better construction would have been great, that said it's meant for a one time install, not daily use.
This is almost identical to what the "Fence that you cannot see" Company uses. They wanted $5000 to cover two acres. I spent $200. Granted, dog training was not included, but I couldn't justify $4800 for dog training! The manual could have been a little clearer on a few things but the toll free help line was fast, friendly, and helpful.
Easy to install, although instruction aren't completely accurate. Anywhere the wire seems to be too close to itself (ex. I ran a complete circuit around our front fencline only) the signal is very week. With a few adjustments, trial, and error we were able to set up a successful system. Works on both our heeler and our Pyrenees, although charge isn't quite enough to keep large dog in without a definitive boundary or fence. In an open area this would not work with a larger dog. She's going where the party is no matter the consequence....she hears the bongos calling. Medium sized dog (heeler), she won't cross even with an open gate.
The fence works great however having to dig the trench was a pain and if you want only a certain space you have to double the the wire and it does not come with enough to do that so you have to spend $40 more to have enough either direction you go.
COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY! First the wire is too thin, then one of the collars stopped shocking or beeping but would power on and off this was maybe a month or 2 after installing the system. Then my other dog's collar just fell off and was lost. The latches on the collars or the style of latches is awful
Still can't make these expansion kits connect even after following instructions to the T. Guess mine just may be defective.
