No problem with the item however, the pick up process was a nightmare! Had to go inside the store and ask somebody to please help as there were also others waiting for items to be picked up. This is the second time I have used pick up and probably the last.
Aushallamykum if you Value what the Creator has given us to Care 🙏 of then you picked a good feed for we Humans need these creatures 🙏 Alhamdulillah so you are going to get blessed just doing a good Deed of what Allah has placed in the world 🌍. I have 10 Flocks that just keep coming back to the point I have named them the are a mix of Birds but the most of the Flock are Finches, Song Birds, even African Sparrow Hawk.Bismilla RHAM-RAHIEM ALLAH AKBAR
I had always used the same brand of finch food and didn't realize there was a difference until I tried this type. Since I filled my finch feeders with this food, I have attracted twice as many finches. The word must've gotten out that this is great quality food because they can't get enough! Beautiful to watch. Thank you for such a wonderful product!
I love nyjer seed as it attracts tons of all kinds of FINCHES %26 the finches absolutely love this high-quality seed. BUT this seed can not get wet, get it wet %26 it will kill the birds fast. I live in Arizona, so during monsoon season, I hang the socks full of this yummy nyjer seed deep under my patio covee %26 even then if the winds blow the rain towards the socks I will throw out the seed. Then, being very careful that I get ALL the old seed out of the sock, I wash %26 disinfect %26 triple rinse %26 let fully dry the reusable socks to later refill with this nyjer seed. The extra work %26 caution is so worth it to have lots of beautiful healthy finches - I can attest that after 1 year of putting out this nyjer seed, all the finches colors are so much brighter, vivid %26 shiny.
My finches love this particular Nyjer finch food (10 lb. bag of Premium Natural Sterilized Nyjer/Thistle Seeds Fresh and Sealed) purchased through Walmart. They go through about 10 lbs. of this bird food a week. I've tried other types of Nyjer finch food but my finches only like this one. The lowered price of $14.86/bag (previously $17.48 per 10 lb. bag) is a great price.
The house finches seem to really like this. So, even though the price point is a bit high for filling a feeder, I really enjoy watching the birds come to feed on what I am told is one of their favorites - since putting out fresh vegetables, etc. isn't a viable alternative option. I like that the feeder is designed specifically for this seed and prevents other wildlife from getting at it. So, this type of seed is essential. And, there isn't as much debris as with sunflower seeds.
Quality seeds with tiny amounts of natural material ie., leaves, twigs, etc. Economical refill for feeders or sock-net feeders. Half the cost (or more) than individual socks. Easily refill 10 sock-nets. *Favorite food of Gold finch and other finches, sparrows, wrens, chickadee %26 varieties of song birds. **Interesting %26 amusing to watch multiple birds feeding from sock(s) simultaneously, with others awaiting a spot. 99% No Waste, socks are refillable.
The gold finches and the pine siskins would give this thistle seed a thumbs up, if they had thumbs. I can attest to their approval because they are little pigs at the feeders; they love this stuff. The thistle seed that falls to the ground does not sprout but the earthworms love it, and there is now an abundance of them in the fallen seed. I highly recommend!!
Did not get eaten by birds after several days when they were eating other seed near it. The feeders were clean and the birds that visited did not stay after a few pecks. The bird bath nearby was used but this seed must be stale, since the feeders always have several birds on them. I wiil not buy this brand again . The only reason for the 2 stars is the packaging was a sturdy thick plastic and not flimsy. I wanted the smaller bag but that was out of stock. This is the first time using this brand, I usually buy other brands that are more popular, but none were offered at this price.
The bag arrived with some seeds loose in the delivery bag. That's tolerable but upon closer inspection, the seed bag itself had a large hole in it that someone had tried to seal up with blue tape. This is damaged goods being sold as a new item. The seeds themselves seem okay but I'm done with Walmart shipping.
