Presto 02144 12 Quart Digital Pressure Canner

First time canning... The only thing I didn't like, is instructions need to tell you: After heating your jars in the canner, to pour out the jars water before filling, into the sink not into the canner. Canner ended up too full of water, so didn't seal and I had to can them over. Not fun. Cuz you have to empty jars, Reheat contents and complete whole process over. Otherwise canner is great. Canned homemade cat food. What a long process.

This was almost intuitive to use, the instructions were well written and easy to follow. Success on my very first attempt with all jars sealed! I don't know how you could make canning your own food any easier? Cranberries were on sale so I promptly tried it out to make some yummy jellied cranberry sauce!

I love to can but dragging out my big heavy canner is a hardship for me since I have gotten older. I was told about this pressure canner, of course I was very skeptical. I thought I would be wasting my money but after figuring it out I love it. It was not very hard to figure out, just took one time through the directions. I have only used it for season so far and I hope it holds up. I am still a little skeptical that it is too good to be true. I only can for my husband and myself. The most time of course was preparing the harvest to can. The jars after washing can be put into the canner and be ready to use. I did green beans, beets, and tomatoes this season. I am looking forward to more canning season. I will update my review if anything changes. At this time I am very happy with my purchase and may buy another.

Wow! This pressure canner is so easy to use. Love that it does both pressure canning and water bath processing. Bonus is it's electric so not taking up space on my stovetop!! Highly recommend!

I am back to canning with ease. I am older and the regular pressure cooker was making me a little nervous. Rule of thumb, never be nervous with a pressure cooker. Using the water bath method was too heavy for me now, and I have an old glass top stove. This pressure canner is the answer to my problem and much easier. Thank goodness 👍

This is the best purchase I have ever made. Always wanted to can butter beans and peas but was deathly afraid of a pressure canner on an electric range. This canner makes it easy to do. My only negative is that it takes a long time to cool so it can be opened. So don't be in a rush. Freezing veggies is quicker but I do not have the freezer space. The end product is well worth the wait!

We have a glass top stove and were worried about canning with the pressure cooker. We decided to give this a try as an alternative method for bottling fresh tuna. We are very pleased with its ease of operation. The display is very easy to read and we can set it and go do other things while it is doing the cooking part for us!!

The Presto 12 qt pressure canner is a nice size. This new model lid threw me for a loop when I couldn't get the lid to seal correctly (sealing ring used to fit in the lid, now it sits on top of the inner pan), I finally saw the little yellow piece of paper included explaining how the sealing ring fit. This information isn't in the manual. Overall I like this canner very much, it's easy to use and holds enough jars for my needs. I hope this new model (08) lasts longer than the 07 model (2 years) but I use my canner a lot, maybe they're not ment for so much use, I'll see.

Love that it can do several things but mainly I bought it for canning. Love the fact that I can set it up by my sink and not have to carry heavy pot back and forth from stove. I do a lot of canning and now that I am well into my 70's, I need as much convenience as possible. This can replace my stove top pressure canner and my water bath canner.

I have used this twice for pressure.Canning worked great and three times for water.Bath canning also worked great. But the beauty is it is not heat.Your entire kitchen up.
