I have found that they generally work their best on medium-weight, non-rough papers

pipern16 July 25, 2025

This was my first experience using such markers for drawing, as I predominantly create digital art. However, after trying the Prismacolor markers, I was pleasantly surprised by the joy of traditional drawing on paper. Working with these markers is akin to watercolor; the color is semi-transparent, and the more layers you apply, the brighter the artwork becomes. And it's a really big pro - by using 1 marker you can creat several grades of one color! They blend well together, providing a decent gradient that adds realism and dimension to the picture. Another property of color layering is the ability to use Prismacolor markers to create NEW colors! Prismacolor markers can achieve various effects depending on the vitality of the marker and the paper type used.

Beautifully blendable markers with vibrant pastel tones and strong durability-perfect for detailed art.

priscilar71 August 16, 2025

I love these markers for blending and layering-colors are rich, smooth, and vibrant. The tips are durable and give me good control for details, while the pastel range adds a soft yet versatile touch to my art. Packaging is sturdy, and they last longer than expected even with heavy use.

Good, no smudge marker

juliamlimeira October 7, 2025

The best markets I've gotten. I had to buy them for my architecture studio class and they are perfect. No smudging or bad scent. The perfect marker for professional use.

Not for picky marker buyers

Rebecca July 12, 2024

These markers have a different shaped chisel nib than you may be used to. I like the saturation and colors of these markers but I have some nibs with weird white spots on them where the ink will not flow out of. So you get a weird chisel tip that does not flow ink through the whole surface. It's fine since I am not using these on works for sale but if you are, maybe look around a little bit more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like those markers a lot! I wish there were more colors and more variety however. Overall they are great and good addition to my coloring book accessories!

Have found that with dual tipped markers one tip or the other runs dry too quickly.

paigee127 October 27, 2025

Colors were strong and bright. The package was adequate for display for retail purposes. Tips were both good and bad, not a fan of the dual tip markers.
