Finally, a toaster that toasts evenly, fits bagels, looks good on the counter, doesn't take up too much room. The moral of the story: Buy a good brand!
Compact and easy to use. Looks very nice out on the counter.
this a 5 star i would suggest to get one this has the bottom slide out tray for easy removing the xtra crumbs than most leading brands i had those whee tray drops down crumbs get on the counter more mess to clean up. this is the one i bought love it ....................................gary
This toaster looks great and works well. Our only complaint is that the slots are a bit too narrow for the kind of bread we use -- typically, Orowheat or Pepperidge Farm. After pressing the lever to lower the bread, we have to push the slices down with our fingers. They pop up just fine when they're toasted, but they won't go down by themselves.
Works great, easy to use. It doesn't toast quite as dark as I'd like on the higher setting, but I can live with that. The black matte finish is great - it doesn't show fingerprints like the shiny metal toaster I used to have.
Toasters are notoriously short-lived, so I'm still waiting to see how this one holds up. For now, it works fine. I bought a simple version without all the bells and whistles (bagel setting, etc.) hoping that that less complicated it was, the less there was to malfunction. Ask me again in a few months.
Toaster was on sale with low price. Received a nice looking black toaster that just offered the "basics"-which is what I preferred. Placed my favorite bread slice in one slot with medium setting. After short time, it popped up with one side toasted to perfection (that faced center heat element)...and the other side was totally UNtoasted (WHITE). I turned bread around so that UNtoasted side would face middle heating element ...lowered heat setting...pressed lever and WATCHED toaster while it toasted other side of bread--(hoping it would not burn). When I had a "feeling" the other sided MIGHT be done I manually made toaster to pop up toast. Finally, my toast was toasted "just right" on both sides. From my toasting experience, I felt like returning toaster, at first. Then I thought: Even more expensive toasters I've had were problematic about toasting. I might as well save myself $$$ and 'Fuss-and-Bother'.. Another toaster could require "Intuitive Toasting Ability" by owner....just like this one does. Final Conclusion: It's a "Better than Nothing Toaster".
The cost of this toaster online was twice what it was than directly from Walmart and could not be returned according to Walmart policy. A major rip off.
Gentlemen, use the toaster for breakfast this morning. The push down and release button doesn't work the toast would not stay down. We tried several different sizes and types. The mechanism seems to be broken. I would like a refund and return this toaster to you. I appreciate the delivery. Unfortunately, the toaster doesn't work we tried it several times there's no way we can make the toast stay down.
This toaster did not last a year. It will not hold the toast down, that part is not function. Do not know if Walmart will honor a refund or replacements. You have to wait for the toast to pop up when finished. I had another previously that you can turn the monitor gage and toast will stop and pop up. Good thing I did not get rid of this toaster.
