The only thing i was apprehensive about in order to unlock bike i had to download an app.it was easy to put together, i followed the directions. i am very happy with my purchase.
For $99, this bike offers a lot of value. I noticed some complaints about the resistance being too hard, but I think many people might not have turned the console on first. My bike came with a plug, so I didn't have to worry about batteries. The plug connects to the lower part of the bike, and once I turned the console on (it even says "Hello"), the resistance was perfectly normal. Took all of 40 minutes to put together by myself while listening to a audiobook. It's clear that the bike requires power for the resistance to work properly. To bypass the iFit setup, I just held the iFit button for about 30 seconds, and it went straight into the regular pre-programmed options on the console. This bike is great for tall people—I'm 5'8", got 40 pounds to lose. I had a solid workout my first time using it. I broke a sweat and didn't experience any issues. For $99, I'm thoroughly impressed. As for the seat, I didn't find it very comfortable, so I bought a gel cover, which solved the problem. I haven't tested the fan because, honestly, fans on exercise equipment never seem to do much, even on gym machines. Registering the bike was simple, and I've always trusted ProForm products. I previously owned a ProForm elliptical that lasted seven years. Overall, I think some of the negative reviews stem from user errors, particularly with the resistance and bypassing iFit. If you follow the steps correctly, this bike is a fantastic deal. Don't let the negative views turn you from buying it.
I love this bike. I've actually bought it twice. My own purchase and then one for my aging mother, so she could incorporate more low impact activity. It's easy to assemble and a great price point for the quality. You don't necessarily need the iFit to use it, but you may forgo some guided training settings.
For an entry level bike, this is not bad and it wasn't difficult to assemble. I like that it works with the rest of the IFIT ecosystem to keep my workouts together.
I'll come to my reason for 3 stars in a minute. The delivery was very quick (2 days), the unpacking, assembly went well (plan on an hour or so) and it is a well-built bike with a nice console. Registered it and "unlocked" it on iFit. Now here is the BIG issue and the reason for the 3 stars. The resistance setting is absolutely terrible!! Even at a 1 setting, the pedaling is tough. I tried setting it higher (14) and then resetting it to 1 thinking it would help, but that had little if any benefit. By the way, only pro athletes would even attempt any setting over 12. Keep in mind, I'm in my later 60's, in good shape and ride a regular bike every day from April-November. I'm going to see about calling to see if there is anything I can adjust, if there is a "break-in period" and give it some time. Otherwise, it's being returned.
I've had proform equipment for about 20 years....bought this for my wife for Christmas..not a good purchase......the display panel comes locked, the pedal tension is a mess..customer service stated that you have to take it apart and adjust it...2 hours later and no luck...I just returned the bike..good luck if purchase one........
Love the bike. However, I have purchased 3 of these and on everyone of them the pedals break off. This last one broke off within 90 days so I was able to do a return. I do not recommend. If you are standing when the pedal breaks off you could easily break an ankle. It is a shame because the bike is great, but the same issue 3 times! That is a flaw.
The electronics unit with this bicycle never worked hence it has NO Capabilities . I would like a new elecronics unit as the bike is too heavy to return
Equipment dies not operate correctly
Don't buy far too complicated does not work properly so it's an no for me plus bad customer service at that.
