I love this product it is very easy to apply and after wiping the access off it really comes out great.

Nice gel
Went on very easy with sponge brush, I bought the satin and it was still a little bit like a gloss and not more a satin matte. Nice product overall.

Can't get a smooth finish
I love GF gel stain, but I do not love their topcoats. I have stained for years and I cannot seem to get a smooth finish with GF. I always revert back to a MInwax topcoat. I ended up returning this.

Used 3 coats with 4 coats Java gel stain to cover sanded and prepped oak cabinets. Scratches way to easily from fingernails, spoons, forks, everything. Took weeks to finish this project and in just a few months they need redone already.

Satin topcoat overly glossy
I wish they would have labeled/named it correctly. This product is glossy not satin!! So if your looking for a satin finish this is not the product for you, plus you can NOT return once you open it! I bought this product for my kitchen cabinets but had to redo them. I tried High Proformance but that product was extremely hard to work with. Better off purchasing Minwax or Rustoleum.
