This water filter replaced our first Pur Faucet water filter that I had purchased from Costco 30 years ago. Eventually the rubber "O" rings wear out and then they leak. When my light indicator turns red, I remove the filter then reinstall it. Why? Because it continues to filter until it no longer does it in a timely manner, or it slows the water flow. The replacement filters are not cheap, and I like the filters that reduce Lead because older home pipes may contain it. It also filters out other substances as listed in the instructions as well as what is listed on the box it comes in. I can't stand the taste of tap water and using a faucet filter makes everything taste better. Teas and coffees and general food prep and anything you use water for it greatly improves the taste. The design gives more space and is much nicer than the vertical version. Assembly is very easy as Pur includes different faucet adapters in every box. I got lucky and mine screwed right on. When purging the filter for the first time, I use a 1 gallon pitcher then take it outside to water a plant or a tree
This is a Godsend. if you live in an area with lousy water, you need this. I have had one of these for over 20 years. I purchased one in 3 different states. This new style is easy to install.
I have extremely bad water filled with calcium chlorine etc etc I have a filter picture but it just wasn't enough I'm so happy I purchased the pure faucet Mount water filtration system it was very easy to install it came with an extra adapter and my water is so much better now I'm so happy that I purchased it from Walmart
It cuts down on any kind of plastic bottles and I don't need to go to the recycling center as much . Make sure if you purchase one of these things that you buy an extra water filter. They only last for a 100 gallons and you don't want to get caught without one . The only problem I have with these -or this unit is that the knob that you turn to activate/turn it on is right in the front of it and it is easily turned on . So you need to pay attention to how much you bang into it when ever you're doing dishes or rinsing them out. YOU HAVE TO LET IT RUN FOR FIVE MINUTES AND THAT'S FRESH OUT OF THE BOX . That is how you activate the cartridge that purifies the water. Five minutes of the faucet running through the water filter to activate it is a lot of wasted water. Oh Yha - YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO RUN HOT WATER THRU THEM !!!!! That would be the only other problem that I have with these units. The one with the cartridge that it stands up on might be easier to use do to the placement of the knob to turn the switch on and off that sends the water thru the cartridge.. You will love these filters if you are conscience of the plastic bottle's and the environment.
And made my water taste so clean so happy that I bought it because the water that was coming out of the sink was so nasty you could taste the metal and dirt all that went away I will have to continue to drink bottled water if I never bought this saves a lot of money
I installed this myself, 75 years old, and am so very pleased. I had an older Brita, and I like this so much better
This has made a big diffence in my water . So clear and clean tasting . I will continue to replace my filters and keep on using it
Clean, needed badly the one on was worn out…loose fitting and leaking, possibly 2 years old. Replacement unit priced fair, same as old basically. Less than $1 a month.
Love it! Water tastes great.
Takes up less room than older upright one I had. Stays cleaner. Did take some time to figure out installation but probably a blonde moment.
