This brand is better than other brands for sure. The water used with tap water comes out tasting very good. No traces of chlorine or taste like tap water for sure. I would buy another Pur water filter pitcher for sure. It's worth the money than other brands I tried in the past.
I thought drinking diet soda was a healthy choice. A can of soda has 150-200 calories per can. A glass of water has 0 calories. I imagine what even the carbonation of a soda can do to the organs. Prolly not great. So I picked this up for 20 bucks followed the instructions and now have some good tasting water. The tap water taste chemically where I live. Even if I frig it it Stoll tastes weird. It takes maybe a half hour to filter the water but leave it in the refrigerator for a couple hours and it will taste much better than tap.
Very nice picture. Fits perfectly on the door my fridge. My hands are not strong, but it's not too heavy for me. Love the way the blue lights flash. I understand the light changes color when the filters getting close to me placing. Give you time to order it before it totally goes out. No guessing or waste of filters it tells you when it needs replacing.
I like that the lid locks in place better %26 the slim design makes it ideal for in a fridge. I can taste the difference between this and the brita filters, its not too much more expensive- worth the difference :)
I found my well water tasted much better when I used the Pur pitcher. The only thing I don't like about it is it takes a while for the water to dripi nto the pitcher. I've figured out how to get around that problem by simply adding a cup or so more water as I use it and that way it stays pretty well full.
Not impressed with this PUR pitcher. The indicator light of when to replace the PUR filter is meaningless, and it stopped working after a few months. Water taste with the PUR pitcher is a step above Brita but overall, not impressive. The Zero Water Filter Pitcher is a better choice.
The thing I dislike is that the button on top that alert you when it is time to change the filter doesn't work, so I have to guess when to change filter ( when the taste of water isn't good). I have been using Pur for a good while now and have had issues with top part of pitchers falling off but this is the first time that the above issue has occurred. I am thinking now of switching to another brand in the next few months.
The shape of the pitcher is great and fits in fridge better. The lid however...it is horrible! Doesn't fit right, falls off when pouring out water. It would be so much better if it snapped on and stayed secure.
first of all the taste of the water was very poor! second of all it took a very long time to filter through the filter! most of all there was a defect in the handle at the bottom a very small like chip size opening where the water leaked out and I did not know until it had accumulated like a swimming pool in the bottom of my refrigerator! I was very upset about this as my refrigerator is new! as I understand it you are aware of this manufacturing defect in the handle! I will not recommend this water picture to anyone!
I am returning this water pitcher the day I got it. It is so slow to run through the filter that I leave it on the counter and come back again to refill the top reservoir, then again. The process was complicated to place the filter and activate it. The parts are tight to pull apart and not very thick plastic. The slim design may fit better, but can be knocke over easily. Much costlier than the old brita pitcher and 10 x longer to get the water filtered. I called the help line and the recording says they are not taking calls due to a training session.POOR customer service. Never buying this brand again, have to bring back and get the old brita pitcher that made water taste better without all this work. Filters not cheap either at $8 each.
