We bought these to meal prep breakfasts and they work great! They store well in the fridge. Perfect lids for stacking. The seal is good as long as you don't go crazy tipping it upside down and whatnot. Also great for leftovers if meal prep isn't your jam!
I absolutely love the versatility in these and am never surprised when the ones I want are out of stock. Also there are so MANY sizes to choose from, I become addicted. No leakage, very sustainable and always look brand new in dishwasher even after it goes in oven, toaster oven, microwave etc. All my family uses them and got hooked on them after their first try with leftovers. Great for lunch, dinner, storing in refrigerator and freezing. Stacking is so easy and saves lots of space. NO problems other than if you take them out of freezer let it sit before removing the lids as it may or may not crack
I've been using the Pyrex Simply Store 2-Cup Glass Food Storage Containers for a while now, and I have to say, they've become my go-to for daily use. These containers are the perfect size for storing a single serving of overnight oats, which is exactly what I was looking for. The glass is sturdy, and I love that it's microwave- and dishwasher-safe, making clean-up a breeze. The round design is simple and efficient, and they stack neatly in the fridge, so they don't take up too much space. The lids fit tightly, ensuring there are no leaks, which is a big plus. Plus, the glass construction feels much more premium than plastic alternatives, and I appreciate that it doesn't stain or retain odors over time. Overall, I highly recommend these Pyrex containers for anyone who needs reliable, high-quality storage for everyday use. They've become a staple in my kitchen and are especially great for meal prep or keeping snacks like oats fresh. Simple, durable, and effective—definitely worth it!
I was looking for this exact products. Pyrex, Red color lid, Glass container. Could not find anywhere but Walmart. Then the price was amazing. The set of 3 price was less than 1 same product with Blue lid in another shopping site. Seal is tight. This is small in size but that is what I wanted.
This is about the 3rd time I have ordered these, I love them for storage of food and being able to heat them up without damage. I have to say over close to 10 years of owning these, I have dropped a few and they have broken, hence why buying more, seems the older I get the more things slip and break. lol
I love these glass containers with plastic lids! They work great for holding my leftovers. I'm very glad not to be using plastic anymore. One caution - I don't recommend using the lids in the microwave. It wasn't on these - it was on a larger bowl of this same type - that I messed up a lid by setting it loosely on top of the glass container while microwaving the food inside. The lid swelled and is now permanently that way. It still fits, but it's not flat anymore.
I had sand on using these little bowls with lids to dice up my onions and one green peppers and another and probably mushrooms in another i had sand on using these little bowls with lids to dice up my onions and one green peppers and another and probably mushrooms in another bowl so that is kind of pre-done and it's ready for Sunday breakfast or during the week when the kids want omelettes sounds good to me. Have a good year bye bowl so that is kind of pre-done and it's ready for Sunday breakfast or during the week when the kids want omelettes sounds good to me. Have a good year bye
I wanted more glass storage containers in a smaller size, so these fit that need BUT the lids are plastic. It's annoying that manufacturers like Pyrex won't migrate away from plastic to silicone or rubber lids. I have other Pyrex food storage containers in larger sizes, and the lids eventually crack with frequent use thus rendering them useless and you have to find replacements.... again perpetuating a demand cycle for plastic, unnecessarily when Pyrex could just improve the quality of their lids by using a glass/silicone or rubber material instead.
Another company that has changed the quality of their products. I have a couple dozen older ones of these 2-cup pyrex glass storage containers. The last two sets I have purchased are different than the ones I already have. The lids are thinner cheaper feeling and slightly larger . The glass bowls are also slightly larger and the glass itself looks different. The new lids fit slightly loose on the older glass bowls and vica versa.
If this is any indication of what made in the USA means today. We are in trouble. The bowls have rough and sharp edges. Another had a crack in it. Which I believe is not safe to use. Another has a rough surface inside on the bottom. Definitely not smooth as glass! Food particles could become imbedded into the surface. In this case the foreign made glassware might be better workmanship. Do not buy. You will be disappointed.
