This timer has worked very well for my garden. It is easy to set. My only difficulty is choosing when it starts. As far as I can tell, it starts immediately, and then repeats at whatever time interval you choose. It can be one-off, or it can be every so many hours. I had it going for 60 minutes every 48 hours. But if I wanted it to start at a certain time of day, either early morning, or in the evening, times which are recommended by garden experts, I had to manually start it at that time, so that it would repeat at that time. I have been pleased that it kept my garden alive while I was away for two weeks in high summer. And I let it keep going after I got home, why not?

This timer has been reliable and has actually saved our valuable plants during the bad hot spell this summer. A little water everyday helps plants resist damage from the heat and disease.

I love the simplicity of this water timer. No digital time to fool with. Just set it to the length of time you want the water to run and how often. Perfect for my transplants.

I'm replacing my more expensive and less reliable "electronic" timers as they fail with this less expensive, more reliable. Set the two dials , walk away and no worries. Five stars.

This is an easy to set up and use sprinkler time. I've bought other, more expensive brands that just didn't work. Very pleased. There is just one thing, it does not have a start time on it. So, basically you have to actually turn it on - the first time - at the time you want it to come on. For example, I wanted mine to come on every 12 hours; at 7:00 am and 7:00pm. I had to turn the hose on at 7:00 pm, but after the first time, it came on at the correct times.

I purchased 2 of these timers a few weeks ago for daily watering use. The timer's arrived quickly and well packaged. They were very easy to setup and have both been running daily since purchasing with no leaks or other issues. If you're looking for a simple and easy to use mechanical timer this a great deal that I would recommend to anyone

Easy to use I can't find another one!

used as part of diy auto garden watering system. works as expected, but extremely short battery life (approx 2 weeks). once battery dies, water just keeps running rather than shutting down. $400 water bill. new brand name batteries had same results. defeats purpose if needs daily monitoring.

I never received it so how can I rate it!

as excited as i was to use this timer it had too many issues on its arrival. 1: Theres no delay on the timed water set up, So if you're setting it up at 7 am it will go off as you set it up and however many hours are select *from 7 am* so if you want it going off just at midnight you need to set it up at midnight. 2: The cheap plastic threading pieces were destroyed on the first attempt to put it on the spigot, just stripped it clear while trying to install it rendering it useless on the first day. i will be returning this water timer and trying another model.
