Rao's Homemade Penne Rigate Pasta, 16 oz

I finally found a pasta that I can eat and enjoy. I can't eat anything with wheat so when I found Rao's I was very happy. Their pasta and sauces taste amazing. I only wish they had lasagna noodles and elbow noodles. But I would recommend Rao's to any and everyone. And I wish their Alfredo sauce came in a larger size like their marinara sauce does. It only cones in small jars.

My store was out of the penne that I usually buy, so it was my opportunity to try something new. I had been reading about the added ingredients in some pastas and thought I would look for something without additives. I ran across this product and right off noticed that the package was a full 16 ounces (the product I normally buy was 12). After looking at the ingredients, I saw it was made with semolina flour and water—can't get more genuine than that! I found that this penne takes longer to cook than some others but is worth waiting for! It also expands in size much more, so it seems I'm getting more for my money. It tastes great with red sauce or just olive oil, even as macaroni salad. It has a lovely bite, chewy but not sticky and delicious. Now if I can just find angel hair by the same company at Walmart, hint, hint.

This is really good tasting pasta. Makes you wonder why you have settled for the less expensive options. Only 2 ingredients. Makes a huge difference in pasta dish. You will need to cook longer if you like your pasta really soft.

I have tasted all there products, and I feel there is a real difference in quality in the pasta, and would think Walmart would keep carrying their products.

This penne is probably the best pasta of its kind, in my opinion! It cooks up really well while holding its texture and shape. It does not get mushy or soggy. Makes great chicken soup. It has alot of detail to the production of the item, it taste like time was spent in its creation.

This product hikds up well and I paired it with Rao Roasted Garlic Alfredo's sauce. Their homemade products really shine. I can really tell the difference between this homemade penne pasta and the cheaper strore brand oroducts. You will be happy with this. Try their spaghetti pasta sauces too!

Check packaging carefully. Received in-home delivery package was cut, all the pasta fell out inside grocery bag and has been exposed so disgusting. Reached out to Walmart for refund/replacement was told to dispose of, now they are saying they will not refund without return. Disappointing…
