In my new camper the dining table lowers to form a bed when needed. The problem is that when you would lean or sit on the one end, the other end would flip up at you! It is just poor design. I got this racheting cargo bar to put under that end and it is working fabulously for that purpose, couldn't be happier. Kind of disappointed that I had to resolve this, but glad that I was able to.
The perfect device to hold my containers snug agianst the cab of my pickup. At 20 bucks, worth every penny!!
Works great, very strong ratchet. Great value for the price.
I use this item to hold fishing rods on the inside roof of my pickup camper lid..It does a great job and holds steady
Works great holding items in place.
Great product for the price. Strong and solid steel construction, powder coat black paint on the main bar and swiveling rubber cover foot pads. Latch has a spot to put a lock on it so bar cant be loosened.
Most of these type bars are for trucks and don't adjust down enough for the trunk of a car. I bought this for the trunk of my Lincoln MKZ and it fits either across or from front to back. The rubber feet help it stay in place and leaves no marks on the interior. The bar is sturdy, attractive, and has a great locking mechanism for adjustable lengths. Unfortunately, the lock is a little tricky to use if you try to follow the instructions. They are not clear how to make it work. I had to play around with it a few times to get it sufficiently taught and locked in place, but once I figured it out, it was a breeze.
Strong and sturdy. Easy to use. It would be nice if the ratchet was closer to one of the sides. It has rubber feet on both ends.
Pros: Easy to use. Works as advertized. Cons: You need to climb into the truck bed, if you are using this UNLESS it is very close to the end of the truck. The locking handle is about in the middle and I could not reach it without climbing into the truck bed.
Pickup Truck usage: Poor design not made for easy on/off, questionable material quality not made for extended outdoor scenario (rust), and strength not likely to keep heavier items in place. I will trash this one soon as the new one arrives. My past one had length adjustment by screw tightening/loosening and new one pending delivery. Should not have loaned it out.
