The product having a smaller brush head was what I needed for my chin/shoulder length hair. My hair is very fine and natural curly frizz. Plus it is very thin now due to losing it from COVID and then biological infusions running the returning hair. That said I have been fighting going bald for the last five years. The brush itself gets very hot with a strong wind on high. While the cool gets enough warmth with a high fan/wind that you are able to dry your hair and not burn your scalp or use that setting to set you curls. It’s a game changer because you are able to style and dry all at once. My hair does not get caught in the bristles. I have chronic RA but the weight of the dryer is light enough not to unduly overtire me. I have used this manufacturer of hair tools for many years and this one for me is a winner.
I've been looking for this dryer that adds curls or a boost of body. So nice to use because it's not heavy and the bristles aren't too stiff. It's the perfect tool to make any short to medium length hair look like a professional stylist did my hair. Works on wet, not too wet, and dry hair for that extra umph.
I recently got a new layered haircut and this Revlon One-Step 1-1/2″ Root Booster has been so good for styling it. It gives me an easy slight blowout look without having to use a separate dryer and brush, which saves so much time. The heat level is perfect because it's strong enough to actually style my hair but not so intense that it feels damaging. It glides through my hair really smoothly and makes my layers lay nicely with a little volume at the roots and soft shape at the ends. I also like that the smaller round brush makes it easy to control, especially around my face and crown. Overall it makes my hair look put together with minimal effort and has quickly become one of my go to tools for everyday styling
I have fine, thin hair and this curling brush gives me enough lift to help my flat hair look decent. I use the low setting. Glad it was recommended to me.
This root booster actually does what it says it does! The first time I used it, I couldn’t believe how much volume it gave my thin hair! I have medium length hair and with the Revlon round hair dryer, it only takes about 15-30 minutes to style my hair depending on whether my hair is dry or damp. If you struggle to blow dry your hair, I would 100% recommend this product for you.
Overall this is a solid round brush dryer. I do wish it had some traditional bristles mixed in with the black thin ones to grab the hair a little better. This dryer dries really well and you can get a good style overall, for the price it is absolutely worth it. I’ve had some really nice blowouts using this!
This makes styling wet hair dry in a hurry. The only setback is the size, too large for shorter styles. It does get plenty hot but there is the option to use a cooler temperature.
I am a fan of Revlon products. Every one I have had has been a good value and very reliable. I have had this round heat brush for about a week and have used it 3 times. I will admit that I am not the most proficient person when it comes to using styling tools. Because of that, I am hoping that I will be happier with it after using it more. The pros so far: I like that it's not heavy and has a long cord. I like that it doesn't get so hot that it makes my hair frizz or feel like it's being damaged. Cons at this point: it feels a little awkward for me to use, I believe because of the overall length. I think that I could manipulate it better if it was an inch or 2 shorter. The biggest con for me is the amount of airflow. It blows so hard that it is hard for me to get an entire section of hair wrapped all the way around it because my hair is being blown around. I would describe my hair lenth as medium to long. It hits a couple of inches below my shoulder. my hair is also very fine which may contribute to it blowing around easily. I think some of this is my lack of experience with it and am hoping as I get more comfortable with it I will be able to wrap my hair on it faster and it won't blow around so much. But I would like it better if it had an optional low setting for air flow. All in all I like many things about it and it seems sturdy which I have come to expect from Revlon.
I would not recommend purchasing this item from Walmart! Mine arrived used. 🤮 The brush had been used and had someone else’s hair in it. This is the 3rd item Walmart has delivered to me used. 1st the little green upholstery shampooer with someone else’s dirt water still in it. 2nd an air fryer with food particles that was broken and now a hair styling tool with some one else’s hair in it!! Are returns even being checked or are they just being pushed back out on the shelves? I pay for Walmart as a convenience but when I have to make trips to the store to return dirty used items that is a major inconvenience!! Do better Walmart!!!
I was looking forward to using the new curling brush. I plugged it in and turned it on. It made loud noises and started smoking. Someone made a mistake in assembly or parts. An hour later and the burnt smell is still lingering.
