Rit All Purpose Powder Dye, Pearl Grey, 1-1.8 oz

One bottle or packet works well for about 2 gallons of water. Keep that in mind when changing the colors of whatever you have. If you have too much water, the colors will be weak.

I always use Rit dyes and have never used any others for over five decades. My mother used them, and she was an artist so that's good enough for me.

I purchased a cotton dress at Walmart and the blue was a bit bright for me so I got this dye and wow it worked like a charm. It is now one of my favorite dresses.

I didn't like that the color didn't blend well. It could have been something I did wrong. It's a nice color though

Followed instructions on lace swags,figured this one package would do 2 short swags a light blue but they turned out a very light gray. Will not buy again

I would recommend adding salt if you're dying linen or cotton. My goal was to add grey hues to my existing colors to mute the brightness. Worked perfectly and easily inside the washing machine on hot. I will be buying more and experimenting further!

I tried to dye a queen cotton bedspread and it was very pale greyish. $6 was too much to pay for this box. They are less expensive at the stores ($2-$3). Maybe my application needed 2 boxes. I did it in hot water and added salt (that' recommended for better results).

Didn't like it due to it did not change the color much at all.
