Just like franks… I put this sh it on everything! I use the synthetic line more often than the regular line. Dye more is great for vivid color and okay for dark/neutrals. For neutral colors be sure to LAYER the dyes for the color to take. Please be sure to use color stay after your final dye bath to protect your newly dyed item and your other laundry! It took me 2 bottles and 3 dye batches to get the outcome I wanted on 1 yard of fabric with the chocolate brown dye.
The color of the chocolate brown is very rich. It is so strong it worked immediately and did not need the length of time I expected from the instructions. I put in the whole bottle for two shirts because it said if you are o dying over another color that is strong you'll need a double shot and maybe double time. I didn't I turned a bright yellow into a brown and a neon orange into dark brown in a minute or two. My advice is be aware this works well and quick and deep color
I used this dye to dye my carpet. It is 20 years old and has been throught 6 children so far. I still have teenagers, toddler and grand baby. I decide to dye it instead of replace it. I am very happy with the results.
I changed my bathroom color and had a pretty doily I had crocheted that was the wrong color. I thought of crocheting another one and then thought "why not DYE it?". So I did and this just worked perfectly. It mixes very well because it's a liquid and my doily looks like I could have made it that color.
Color is rich, shiny, bouncy! Love it!
Easy to use, was the color I wanted and now I have two rich chocolate brown tank tops that I couldn't find the color I wanted off the rack. Got the Terra %26 Sky 100% cotton tank tops in white, on sale and made them the exact color I wanted. These were cotton but the dye would have worked on Polyester or a blend just as well from what the package said
This was too dark. I was hoping for a beige but could not find that color, so I tried using only half of a bottle and it made my curtains way too dark. If I do it again, I will purchase a yellow or white along with the brown.
Does not taste like chocolate at all.
Left grainy spots on the article I was trying to dye. I read other reviews with similar issues. I used a large stock pot, I think it would make a difference using an extra large stock pot, a cauldron…something huge to where the material is not bunched up but freely flowing. I truly think it would have eliminated those spots and places of the dye sitting and ruing my article.
