There's not enough in this little container to do a whole lot, but it works really well. It's just very expensive for the amount you get they used to have big pails of this and I used to use that and loved it but now they have these little tiny containers and I used it in like two ice Falls
This review is from my sister who got me to buy it because she uses it...it stopped snowing after I got it....isn't that the way it goes when you try something new?
I got a really large like equivalent to gallon-sized jug to hopefully last me most all winter. The pellets are small but effective and I don't have to worry about the cats' paws being injured either. No muss, no fuss!
i have a medium size dog, the pads are very soft, sensitive, it didn't bother his feet. The cold ground hurt his paws more than anything. highly recommend, and there's no need to throw down alot. I will keep it on hand for the winter months. buy it and be PAW 🐾 some!
This ice melt helped melt the ice leftover after snowblowing and digging out of the blizzard of 2026 south of Boston. We had 24" of snow ( my husband is a meteorologist so he keeps track of each storm total) and still had a layer of ice on all the pavement around our house This softened it enough that we could use a spade to get down to clear pavement so it would not be too slippery. I've had 2 hip replacements, 1 due to a fracture and one to arthritis so I'm forbidden by my Ortho specialist to walk on any slippery surfaces! Anyway, this works great and we intend to buy more after the snowy season and keep it on hand for next years first storm! 5 stars! Highly recommend it. Our pets are indoor cats so their paws weren't an issue, but it's supposed to be pet-friendly. Linneaann
Works great and melts ice quickly, however, value for the money is not so great. I purchased mine at Walmart, and it only comes in a container and its pretty spendy. Needs to come in a bigger qty because I use a lot of it for the front and back of my house.
We use this product often, as it is Pet Friendly and easy to use when treating our deck, sidewalk and driveway. I would definitely recommend this product. As far as the delivery, I highly recommend when they are preparing for the pkg delivery, to place these jugs of ice melt in a box, (standing upright), as opposed to a plastic bag, as the flap on the lid easily opens. When I opened the bag, I noticed the jugs were lying on the sides, on top of each other ( I bought 2). When I started to lift the first jug, I realized the flap had come open, which caused the ice melt to spill and scatter in the bag and onto my floor. I was able to get most of it put back in and vacuumed the rest.
Item is easy to use works very well on ice and a little bit of snow that we've had. However, it's kind of pricey. One bottle works an average walkway to your house plus a third of the driveway. $11 if you buy 30 pounds or more it's about the same price. The pellets are very light so it's very easy so you pay for the ease of use.
They say that this is pet friendly and they tell you not to touch it or get it on your skin in anyway! So what happens when my dog walks on it? It also left a terrible mess on my floors. It was like the water would not dry after coming into contact with this stuff. Would not recommend.
I have an elderly dog who's paws are VERY sensitive to ice melt. This is my 2nd dog brand purchase that DOES NOT DO WHAT IT SAYS. Again with this product my dog is in excruciating pain untill I am able to wash paws. false disclaimer. very dissapointing . I will to keep trying brands until I find the right item. that is unfortunate this is a costly experiment. This is New England I need this product to do what it says!
