This is one of many gifts I bought for my nephew. He loves dinosaurs right now. He loves learning about him reading about him. The sounds. Interacting with them he thinks the Rory is great as far as batteries and that lifespan. I'm not sure they're fairly new to him.

Robo Alive Dino Action Raptor
My son loves this toy. He set up a play area for all of his dinosaurs and really enjoyed adding this cool raptor to the collection. This Dino is a perfect size, not too big taking up too much room and not too small to where it could get easily lost. When you move it's head it makes a roaring sound. You can also move his jaw and legs. It is very realistic looking and has really great details on it. This would be a wonderful gift for your child on any holiday, birthday or just because, I highly recommend.
