You Want This Rowenta Steam Force Plus!!

Beento June 14, 2026

This is a FABULOUS iron. I had to replace our at least ten year old Rowenta Focus after it hit the floor a few of times over the years and the water tank cracked. I knew I would replace with another Rowenta. I love the heavy weight of this Rowenta Steam Force , the max amount of steam bursts it gives, and I like that it has the spray feature. I first considered the more expensive Rowenta Steam Force Pro (these two look almost identical, aside from trim color), but the pricier Steam Force Pro lacked the spray feature that I think irons should have. The water reservoir has a large capacity, the settings dial is easy to read, and it has the auto shut off feature. Much less time is spent on ironing tasks compared to cheaper irons. If there is one measly complaint from me, I think irons should come with a water fill cup. I see it is on sale for $99.99, I paid $129.99 without regret. If you think the price is a bit steep, think of this as an investment you'll be happy with for years to come!

My new iron

Mini June 11, 2026

I was sad to say goodbye to my first Rowenta iron that I used regularly for at least 25 years, Like my first, I purchased the iron second from the top. It's a bit larger and heavier but functionally is substantially improved from the first. My old iron had a shot of steam, which I used instantly, but my

Smooth and steamy

Jeff sews May 18, 2026

Replaced my 20 year old Rowenta with this unit. The improvements are, probably unsurprisingly, impressive. I use my iron primarily to press fabrics and garments for home sewing. The Steamforce emits powerful amounts of steam across the entire sole plate, including the tip. It heats up fast and stays quite hot. There is an auto shutoff to manage, which makes it less than ideal for sewists, but it reheats quickly. The water tank is fairly well sized to the steam emitted, although it could be larger. It’s kind of awkward to fill. While the overall construction isn’t quite as hefty or sturdy feeling as my 20 year old retired Rowenta, I’ll take the performance of the new iron any day.

Best overall Iron

Bamenda December 6, 2025

Hands down the best Rowenta iron I’ve ever bought. The previous professional one lasted about 3 years but it’s no longer made. This one is top notch. You get what you pay for. Smooth ironing. No back and fort. Just one and done. Zero leaks. Steam is perfect and water stored last a while. The steam burst is perfect. This is arguably my best iron. Very durable with a large seating base. Easy to use and heats up in seconds. Highly highly recommend. Glad Walmart had a great price. Make this a Christmas gift and thank me later

Think twice and review details before buying

Ann M. May 31, 2026

I thought I had done my research and was treating myself to an upgrade for my sewing room. Unfortunately, the steam force pro weighs in at a full 5 lbs--very heavy for a 68 yr old with a torn rotator cuff. Additionally, the instructions recommend you starch only the wrong side of fabric than you are ironing on--that is very inconvenient and frankly awkward to accomplish. You can't actually turn the iron off from the mode switch--it will only turn itself off after sitting 8 minutes/etc. You can't control the steam--it's always on above the synthetic level and some fusible interfacings, for example, want a higher heat setting with no steam. Bottom line, it's not a fit for my needs.

Not as good as they used to be.

Marc D May 23, 2026

It's understandable that a manufacturer needs to find new places to build their products to keep costs down, but the challenge there is maintaining quality. Between the Rowenta I owned before and this one, there was a noticeable difference. The temperature selector felt cheap, the steam didn't come out as smoothly, or as consistently and it just didn't iron as well as my old one. While this is still a good iron, I think I will consider other brands the next time I purchase.

A Disappointment

Tom Senn June 16, 2026

I am quite disappointed with this iron. This is the fourth Rowenta iron I have purchased through the years. I have enjoyed years of using Rowenta irons before they started leaking water. However I have used my new Rowenta iron twice now: once to iron some flat linen items and once to iron three dress shirts. On both occasions, this new iron randomly leaked water while ironing. It is most frustrating to me to be ironing an item and then have a larger drop of water come out of the iron.

Rowenta SteamForce Pro Steam Iron

OMEGA4477 May 11, 2026

The Rowenta SteamForce Pro Steam Iron did not meet my expectations. The unit is noticeably heavy, which makes it difficult to handle during longer ironing sessions. Additionally, when I used it for the first time, it emitted an unpleasant odor that was concerning. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this iron.
