The reviews I read before purchasing this air rifle were that this rifle is not very accurate. I don't know which rifle they were using but it couldn't be this one. Straight out of the box it was shooting groups you could cover with a dime at 30 yards. I will tell you to throw the scope that comes with it over the hill and get a good one. As far as the rifle goes I couldn't ask for anything any better
Open sights are highly visible and rifle is accurate/powerful, has auto safety that's easily disengaged, and trigger is as good as rifles costing $200. The scope is of low quality, but with the hi viz sights that are installed on the gun a scope is unnecessary. This gun is a real value, if you're looking for a spring powered varmint eliminator. Walmart staff were pleasant and helpful during checkout, which is the norm for their employees.
I bought this for my husband who wanted a rifle that he could shoot inside the city limits. It's quite enough that the neighbor's don't even notice him doing target practice in our yard, and it's also very accurate and powerful for an air rifle.
Accurate and powerfull air rifle with Crosman Powershot Red Flight Penetrators Premium Pellets and Crosman Premier Hollow Point Pellet .22 cal
Got it in great condition, didn't realize they sold it in the store though so I could have had it right away. But it is incredible. Looks better than their 10/22 and as accurate a 50 yards. Perfect for those areas where a single "quiet" shot is needed.
I bought this air rifle after several failures with other more expensive air rifles. I'm glad I did. It is very accurate shot after shot and consistency is something that's hard to find with some air rifles. I lost confidence with my Gamo Bone Collector .177 because of this issue .... no consistency with the accuracy. Another plus with the gun is the price, it's very reasonable. I have a tree rodent problem looks like the squirrels around here are in trouble now.
Purchased this rifle to rid my property of the pigeon menace plaguing the neighbor hood. Have not needed to mount the scope so I can not report on it. The rifle however is hard hitting and I was surprised at its power. I am very happy with this purchase and if you decide to buy, I'm sure you will be happy also.
The air rifle is very powerful and shoots good with the proper pellets with open sites , however I put the scope on the gun and was unable to get it to hit the target with any accuracy . The scope seemed to change adjustment with each shot made with the rifle . I think the recoil from the gun causes the scope to change adjustment . Need to buy a better scope that can take the recoil of the gun . The gun is very well built and is heavy compared to my other air rifles . The wood stock is beautiful and well built . I used the hollow point pellets in the gun . You need a selection of pellets to find the one the gun likes best , then you can go for accuracy .
After reading other reviews I had a better idea of what to look for. The breech millings, fasteners being loose. After contacting the tech dept. I was able to get more input for break-in and suggested shooting style to optimize accuracy.
I bought this rifle based on great stats and a great price. I took it to a warehouse and proceeded to benchrest zero it in on the iron sights. Very easy to engage the spring, and I was surprised at how powerful the shots were. The pellets were blowing through cardboard, 1/4" plywood, more cardboard and almost through another 1/4" plywood! The problem was that I couldn't get it zeroed in becase it was shooting too high. So I tried the scope. After over 64 clicks I couldn't get it zeroed in either. If I had been able to get it zeroed, I'm sure it would have been an awesome rifle. I returned as defective and ordered a benjamin trail np2. I would still recommend trying this rifle out, you have a great chance of picking a winner here!
