I was actually amazed at what this did to dark green decorative shutters that were bleached white by the sun. How long it will last is unknown for now. Was super easy but because of the warnings on the labels because of the chemicals not for children to be helpers!
I used this product on a plastic-type mailbox and metal solar lamp posts and it worked great. It was quick and easy and I only had to apply a thin coat. And it dries a lot quicker than paint and gives a new or just-painted appearance. I liked the first Rustoleum ReColor I used so much that I bought a second one, just to have it on hand if I ever need to recolor something else. When the weather gets warmer, I will recolor my power grass mower. This product is fantastic to say the the least. You will not regret purchasing this product.
Product worked wonderfully. After some minor sanding of rust spots applied the product with the applicators and the coverage/finished was outstanding. Our patio chairs and table look almost as good as when we purchased them 10yrs. ago!
Years ago I tried a product to restore vinyl shutters. It was a waste of time and money (I ended up buying new shutters). But this ReColor product does a pretty good job bringing back the color of faded shutters. It's not quite as easy to use as the commercials say (you need to keep direct sun and all water off the object for 24 hours so the ReColor can properly cure), but if you can put the object in your garage or some other covered (but ventilated) space for 24 hours, you should be happy with the results. We'll see if it lasts.
Shutters were very faded and sun bleached. Saw this product and thought I would give it a try. For the cost, they should give you more of the solution and wipes. It was just barely enough for 6 shutters. It did improve the looks, but not as dramatically as their claims. I was a little disappointed, but the shutters definitely look better than before.
My 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac bumper was fading under the Florida sun. I applied one thin coat of Recolor and my bumper looks brand new. A month later and several trips through the car wash and the bumper still looks great. I also applied Recolor to the door handles, black plastic side mirrors and the plastic parts above each wheel well. Don't apply to the rubber parts around the windows. It didn't adhere very well on the rubber and washed right off. I wish I had taken before and after pics. I'm really happy with the way my truck looks now.
I have a oil rubbed bronze faucet that contained lots of water stains and no other product works. So far the product has restore the faucet and does not build up water stains.
Turns out there are other products already in the market that do what this product says it does. Meanwhile the box has such a tiny bottle of liquid that it's like buying perfume instead of a CLEANING product. What's in it? Liquid GOLD? NOT WORTH IT'S PRICE Will return this item.
Terrible experience. 1) Wrong item delivered 2) FYI - The item that was delivered was damaged 3) FYI - Item was also past its useful life 4) Had to go to two stores to return, first store had computer issues, the second store took 1/2 hr to convince associate to take back the item because it didn't match the item ordered (even though I provided the online documentation to prove purchase).
Maybe it works on newer items, but it does not work on older items like back yard toys, tables, bikes etc, not at all. Very strong odor
