I used this product to protect the frame of a 60 year old vehicle that we're restoring. Easy to use, very forgiving, dries fast and looks appropriate for this specific application. The paint has a lot of heavies intrisic to it and takes some work to get it mixed and have all the particles simultaneously suspended in the liquid. It sticks to your skin very well too. I drilled-out the tip of an inexpensive gravity gun to a little over 2.0mm which allowed this product to spray and flow nicely. We did add some reducer to get the paint to a manageable viscosity allowing our LPHV paint gun to digest and regurgitate it's contents onto the truck frame in an efficient manner. The RO worked as it should, leaving a tough, resilient, dull and rust-free finish. The PRICE is too high! Other than that, we're planning on using it again real soon.
I'm happy with how this turned out! Makes my trailer look much newer. The paint is thicker n dries way fast. I used a paint brush so you can see paint brush lines but I was fine with that. I also painted my metal bench because it was rusting too n I'm hoping that this will prevent it from further rusting. Guess after winter, I'll see how it held up. I still have a little over half of the can left, so it goes a long way. The bench I did cover with a semi gloss black spray paint because this paint is flat in appearance n I like the gloss look.
I am using it to paint my trucks metal chassis, which had rust stains all over, it covered everything great and looks great. So far no rust yet. Note it does dry very quickly even while painting and can be a bit messy to handle if not wearing gloves and coverings to not get splatter on skin or area where you are painting.
Our underground tornado shelter was rusting from the outside in where it is in contact with soil and ground water. I needed to find a way to stop the rust and prevent further water infiltration. I applied it on top of a rust converter. It did eventually dry but took several days and a heat gun. It looks MUCH better and I hope it helps.
Covers up some rust on chrome plating. Light sanding and wipe down then cover with rust reformer. Looks great! One key is that you will want the area ventilated because this stuff will light your head up.
I like that it works great. I don't like that the can had been dented and some product spilled before it was placed in package and mailed. I sent a complaint about it. They said to send it back and they would replace it or refund my money. Nice offer but I needed it now. To mail it back would be a 40 mile round trip. Whoever packed it without replacing it needs a talking to. haha
product arrived on time and performed exact as it should
great price fast shipping works well
As described and fast shipping. Thanks.
Too expensive, I can't tell if it's really any good until after 5 years or so, to see if coated components rust or not.
