I have tried many other deterrents recommended by friends and neighbors and none of those worked for me. I have hydrangeas and hibiscus plants/shrubs and the 1st year the deer ate everything right down to the ground. I thought they were all dead. This year they started to sprout up. I read an article that said Safer Brand Deer Off REALLY works. So I gave it a try, and so far (over 4 weeks) the deer have stayed away. Yay! Praying it continues. Thank you!

Product seems good quality, time will tell if it works. Slight confusion on using the stakes included with the product, as the scent containers do not hang straight down when placed.

Lasts longer
It does last longer than spray in versions since it is encapsulated by design. It's not the prettiest thing to see in my garden though. I'm not convinced this is for me.

Doesn't Work
At first I placed the deterrent on the ground in my flower bed, it was about 10 inches from my flowers and the deer still ate them. So I placed the deterrent on a stake and put it directly beside the blooms of my lillies and still, the deer enjoyed a nice midnight snack. Therefore, it does not work. For reference, I live in Ohio.

It simply does not work. Put 6 of them out in a small area close together on stakes provided. And there were four deer all grazing directly next to them. Absolutely not a deterrent whatsoever.

the deer was still in the yard, right next to the stake, waste of money for me
