Safer Brand Snake Shield Animal Repellent Granules For Snakes - 4 lb.

I've had the Snake Shield for about 3 weeks now. I put it out immediately after receiving it. We live in the foothills of the north Georgia mountains, so we are prone to see copperheads and water moccasins as well as king snakes. We have a 3 year old and a 6 year old in our house and last year, I heard the 3 year old screaming. I was in the front yard and went running, only to find a snake in the garage. I had just came from there and there was no snake. Needless to say, I worry about snakes around our house. Thankfully that snake happened to be a king snake. That being said, I was glad to receive the Snake Shield. I've been wanting to find something to help repel snakes around our house. The 4 pound bag was more than enough to go around our entire house as well as our Koi pond. The Koi pond is a snake magnet and atleast several times a year, I find or see several snakes around it. I guess they want to eat the fish or like the cool water, either way, I look everytime I go to feed the fish to make sure there are no snakes around it. Well, it's been 3 weeks now and the Snake Shield seems to be working. I've not seen any snakes, or any signs of snakes around the pond area or the house. I am especially thankful to find something that is friendly for people pets and plants, because we also have two small dogs that like to play in the yard. It makes me feel better knowing that it will not harm my kids or my pets. I am a fan of Snake Shield and highly recommend it to anyone who lives in areas prone to snake habitat.

It does smell, but dissipate quickly. It seems though that the repelling method relies on the granules, and that's why we need an 8 inch band. Despite I live in the City, but the tall long tree that my neighbor has in his backyard, has attracted lots of unwelcomed animals, and one of them is the snake. I have seen a small one curling on the branches, but thankfully never cross the border. And this one will help repel them from coming closer. I have to use half a bag for the defense. The granules are fine pieces and not quite visible after landing on the soil. Visible though on the ground.

I used this around my camper on the lake because I have seen a few slithering creatures close by. I hope that this keeps the snakes and maybe other creatures away from my camper. To apply this , you simply sprinkle it lighting near the area you want to protect in a band 8 inches wide. Avoid making piles and do not water in product. Reapply after heavy rains. Use in Spring , Summer and Fall when you expect unwanted snake activity. Avoid skin, clothing and eye contact and do not use near food product.

This product was easy to use. You just sprinkle some in the areas surrounding your home or wherever you are applying it. It sort of has the smell of moth balls, but it doesn't smell strong enough that you are constantly smelling it every time you step outside your home and the four pound bag covers a good size perimeter. It seems to have worked really well because we haven't seen any snakes since using it and we had seen two black snakes in the weeks before using it so it definitely is fast, simple, and effective.I really like the fact that it is chemical free so you don't have to worry about it harming your pets,lawn or garden.I do recommend this product for anyone who wants to deter snakes from entering their yards and homes.

The snake granular was easy to use and store. The zip top makes storage super easy. The directions were extremely user friendly. The granular was the perfect size for easy to spread usage to cover any area needed. Would definitely recommend for farm use.

We have had tons of rain this year and have had numerous snakes wander up in the yard. Including a scary coral snake. Having kids and a dog in the backyard makes it necessary to safeguard the yard and this stuff is easy to distribute and seems to have repelled the snakes away from the yard. Very pleased so far. Plus the bag is resealable do you don't waste what you don't use right away.

When you offered me the safer snake sheild I was glad, Where we live we have a problem with moccasin. We have tryed other things, but nothing would seem to work. Until we received this product I like the small Granules and the odor is not as strong as some things we have used since I put this product down I have not seen a snake. I would recommend this product too anyone with a snake problem.

Let me start with I havent seen a snake actually turn around when they get near this stuff. This bag won't cover acres so read the package to figure out how much you need. I had a problem with snakes coming into my yard from a wooded area. While I dont mind the rest snakes, a few copperheads had showed up so I used this stuff. I haven't seen any snakes since. This stuff works.

I have a lot of trees/wooded area behind my house where snakes like to come from so I sprinkled this around the perimeter of my back yard. I also used it around my flower beds. It did not harm my plants or flowers and I haven't seen any snakes as of yet. This repellent does have a cinnamon type smell to it due to the oils that are used in this product but I actually liked it because to me it does not smell like chemicals.

After I ordered and applied as directed, However, after consulting with a snake expert I discovered that these types of products are useless as they do not repel rattlesnakes. Save your money and install snake fencing (30" min).
