Schylling Makit Wood Building Set, 70pcs.

We had these when our children were small. This purchase was for a Christmas present for our grandson, who is 4. They were a hit, and have already provide lots of fun and skill building play for him and others. I would recommend these for children who have mastered Legos and need a little more of a challenge. (we still spend lots of time with Legos, but with smaller holes and pieces it challenges different skills)

Just what we want

Had these as a kid - now am purchasing for my 2 year old grandson. He loves to build towers with them. Easy to put together and even more fun to tear apart!

Always room for improvement

Got these for my grandson who already has the 100 pc plastic tinkertoys. The wooden ones, like these, are what I and my brothers grew up having. My grandson thinks they are quite cool! The one thing I'm not thrilled with, is the fact that several of the round pieces do not stay on the colored rods when building. The holes are too big, which is sad. We still have quite the time playing with them, though.

They are not the real tiddly winks and they are hard to put together. Some of the hole are to small to put a stick in and some are to big making the stick slide right out. Not good for my 3 year old grandson to use without my help.
