we purchased some seed earlier which is doing well. we are going to over seed at least one more time this fall, I purchased a 10# bag so I can also over seed the lawn at our church
I have used other products over the years but Scott's products have proven to be a better product. I now only use Scott's brand
I've used your products for 30 years! Can always count on you.
I decided to save money and stop paying fertilizer companies to do a nominal job of caring for my yard. I am so glad I switched. I am saving money and my lawn is looking amazing.
Let me start by saying I should not have purchased this grass. I live in NC. This clearly has a picture marked that says it is not for states in the south. I liked the reviews and the price point so I decided to give it a try anyway. The first step tells you to rake your soil. I tried to do this but my dirt was hard and compact and filled with rocks so I wasnt very successful. Then it tells you to use a spreader. I dont have a spreader so I just used my hands and threw the grass seed out as if it were bird seed. Next it tells you to water it everyday. I tried to remember but I skipped a day or two, luckily one of those days it rained. Anyway I pretty much did the laziest, opposite job of what was CLEARLY stated on the bag. So after just two days...sprouts. Now I'm about five days in and the grass is long and healthy and looks better than the grass that is next to it. I only needed it for a small space so the bag was the right amount but I am SO IMPRESSED that it even worked at all. If you are on the fence...BUY IT...you cant do any worse than me and I am so happy with the results!
Josh and Maine were selling these benches for $99 a piece . I got them from you for $60.99 they are absolutely awesome, sturdy, beautiful wood, built to last and so very attractive they match my table and four chairs perfectly. I would buy a piece of furniture from this company again because of the quality.
First time Grass Grower and came out better than expected! We live in the northeast and when we moved in we created a driveway and left a dirt patch behind it. Was going to get a landscaper to install sod but the cost was too much so gave Scott's a try.....after 2 weeks we have grass! Since it's our first time we might need to reseed since some spots did not take, be sure to turn up the dirt 2" as stated and we found that top soil did help.
This is the best seed in the price range I have found so far. It all sprouts within a few days and with light watering in the evening about every other day until it gets up to 2 or 3 inches, it will take solid root and be there for years. I've spent lot more on seed and never saw a single blade come up! The 7 pound bag is an even better value!
I purchased the largest bag available and used it for 1/3 of the sqft area advertised hoping that it was going to even fuller than normal... i followed the spreader and watering instructions to the dot... the results after 3-4 weeks were not what I expected... Several areas with blanks..... so now i will have to reseed in all the blank spaces... I am wondering what would have happened if i used it in the area advertised... the blanks would have been even more...
Bought a dethatcher, then aerated, seeded with Scotts sun and shade, used starter fertilizer and got poor results after over 25 days. Began early September in the state of CT. Waste of money and time.
