Good Enough
I am pleased with my purchase. This rod holder, used in conjunction with the coaming clamp from the same company accommodates my spinning gear quite well without fear of dumping my rod in the water. It just snaps in and out with a twist. Angle adjustment could be a bit better but it serves its purpose.

Certain Reels Will Not Remain Upright
Like any Scotty rod holder, the quality is good, but this particular design is not as versatile as the power-lock and others (orca, striker). Larger baitcasting reels promptly fall over when placed in the rod holder. While this is only a minor inconvenience, all things being equal, I'd prefer they remain upright for things like adjusting drag, checking line counters, and adjusting depth.

Terrible design
Terrible design, the whole system! First of all you have to remove the rod holder complexly from the mount to change position, DUH! Second, called a Baitcaster/Spinning Rod Holder. baitcaster yes where the reel is on top, NOT for a spinning rod, I will keep it as it fits the mount that came on my boat. I will retool it to make it functional. Otherwise it's a real pretty crap ABS.

DISAPPOINTED!
It's different than my Kyack... It's the same model yet it's just not the same. I may try to put it in a layth to taper it down... But I shouldn't have to! I mean if you can ask how it works,you ALREADY have the model number... You should have simpley sent the correct rod holder to start with rather than just shipping out what ever you can grab and thinking "Its under 50 bucks" he won't mess with the hassle. Worse there rite it's not worth the HASSLE!
