Big enough to hold an ABSTRACT. Bought it for adult son...delivered to my house...so heavy I could barely lift it one step into my entry...good thing my son is really strong!

This is the second one I bought and it's a gift. I love mine.

Sentry Safe is a great product.

Nice small safe. No handle though. Had i known I would have bought one w a handle. but not returning it. it will do just fine for my needs.

This was not the safe I ordered, but a substitution. At a higher price and larger than needed. However, I needed something quickly, and didn't have time to shop. The product is ok, just not what I wanted.

Our first safe survived our house fire which prompted us to buy our second one. However, the locking mechanism completely came out of our second safe and now is obviously unable to lock.

The key mechanism is awkward. One has to press it in to engage it before one can turn it the ¼ turn neded. The problem is the key mechanism is sloppy. there's no real way to access the back to tighten it up. Unless the box is at counter hight it's tricky to press the key in far enough to get it seated properly. Nothing that you'd want to use on a daily basis, also, it doesn't instill a lot of confidence that the lock wouldn't malfunction, barring access to the contents. The key doesn't actually operate a lock. It limits the travel of bar, spring loaded, that will prevent a hook, also spring loaded, in the lid from retracting from the hasp opposite of the bar when the release in the lid is pressed. The recessed bar lever, about three inches long, only works when pressed all the way to the right directly above the hook and key mechanism. It's easy to think you've locked it, when in fact you haven't. It's quite heavy and it would be nice to have a couple of recesses on the sides, to make it easier to pick up and move.

my lock is stuck between open and close so I cannot use the key anymore and then the safe stays permanently unlocked. I thought sentry products were tougher than 1 year.

As you can see the slots on the key are misaligned, the marring is from me try to reinsert the key Of course the key will not insert so the safe can not be locked

I just put a few important documents in my safe and the lock got stuck and I cannot lock it up.
