SentrySafe Water and Fire Resistant File Safe with 2 Keys, Gray

this is a great home safe........plenty of room for important documents. i am so glad i bought it. we live up in tx. panhandle. i was so concerned about the fires. now i do not not worry. everything is in the safe. am very happy that i bought it. in fact i may buy another one.

The safe I purchased is the correct size, built well and at a prize I could afford. I couldn't find this item any place other than Walmart and arrived within a week

We wanted something we could store our important papers and they were the legal size. They fit but we had to bend them a little. We will not be adding dividers like in the picture. Safe is very heavey and has a good locking bar. A little hard to push to lock but I think that addes to the label waterproof/Fire. This is our second SentrySafe. They should pay for them selves within a few years compared to the cost of a bank box. The only thing you can't rate at least I can't, is how well the safe will hold up if you have a real house fire. Over all I feel that this was a good buy and we feel safe having them.

The walls of this safe/box are VERY thick making the internal size slightly smaller that a file folder so if you plan to use it to store important documents, be prepared to bend/fold/curve them. if keeping documents flat or uncurved/folded you may want to size up. otherwise this is a great safe box.

This is a great product with one exception. It would be nice to have some type of handle on the top or sides for easy pick up. Since it does not have any handles, it is difficult to lift and move or take with you if it was necessary to do so. Otherwise, it is a great product. Would have given it 5 stars had it had handles.

This safe is just what I was looking for to organize and protect our important documents. However, with no handles, it is very awkward to move around. It also has a couple of defects: 1. The plastic cover is cracked. 2. It dumps white powder into the compartment and storage surface.

This firebox is sturdy and very heavy duty. I bought it to store important documents. However, it was too heavy for me to even move it. I had to literally use a hand-cart to move it! There is no handle to aid in moving it. It is advertised as a firebox, but honestly it is more like a small safe. I like its other features but I don't know why they made it so dang heavy!

plastic latch seems VERY cheap, but if nobody ever tries to open it without a key it should suffice. in retrospect should've gotten a better one, but i made price too much a factor. surprised it says not to store a gun in it (i can understand not storing ammo, since a fire lasting very long would probably set it off, but the gun itself?)

Terrible quality safe. After a few weeks of very light use in my home office the rubber sealing gasket fell off the lid and will not go back on such that the lid will close. My only option is to use it without the gasket which I assume impacts the ability to resist fire and water. The lid is also cracked and leaking fireproofing material into the safe all over my documents.

Appeared to have sustained damage from the warehouse.The whole top of the lid was separated and busted up. the whole unit was scuffed All up itself as it fell down a bunch of cement steps. My experience aside, this company does make satisfactory budget lock safes
