Sevin Insect Killer Concentrate 16Oz

I use 1/2 bottles each month for the perimeter of my house and never have any bugs inside my home. The other I use for maintaining the ants we get in the yard. It's 1/4 of the cost of having pest control and I personally think I do a better job because I do around the windows and everywhere.

I have used neem oil and homemade insecticides with no success. I decided to go with a chemical and tried Sevin with much success. I like apples and pears without worms, don't you?

I used the Sevin that connects to the water hose. Was extremely easy to use and easy to view how much is in the bottle because the water stays out of the bottle. I covered a large area. The Lantern Flys were killed in a couple of minutes after contact. 1,000's were scattered across the ground in minutes. I highly recommended. Also after spraying my tree added a sticky tape with screen over it to protect the birds and it is also working well. I simple not costly way to help combat Lantern Flys. This was in Morrisville PA. Also reported the infestation to the state of PA.

My maple trees were loaded with Lanternflies. In order to reach the high branches, I stood on a ladder and used the 32 oz bottle as the "soap" in my power washer, using the low pressure soap setting, The flies immediately dropped when hit by the spray. When they hit the ground they walked around a bit, more sluggish than usual. They started walking back toward the tree and started climbing back up, again more sluggish than usual. I was a bit disappointed. But then about 20 minutes later they started dropping off the tree. The end result was excellent. .

Been using Sevin under various names for a few decades. Usually the powder in a panty hose in the garden and on the dig when I was a kid. But you talk about how a little goes a long way. Then say 4 ounces to a gallon of water. But you leave out the part of the equation. How much area does that cover? A 10' X 25' area. You can put 4oz in a quart or 10 gallons, but the area it covers determines just how concentrated it is. 250 square feet needs 4 ounces of product. Would you please make that information a little easier to find, and possibly in your advertising? Would be appreciated.

I'm shocked that the price has gone up so much over the past year and the quality has gone down its scary

There is Sevin and then there is Sevin 500 - They are not the same!!! Sevin 500 kills 500 insects - Sevin only 130 - ORDERED Sevin 500 and received plain Sevin. No customer service number to call - Really annoyed - now have to spend time, money and AGGRAVATION to drive 15 miles and back to store.

Did NOT work on contact and still have potato beetles on plants, even immature beetles on plants. Tried on Japanese beetles and they laughed. And kept eating. This does not deserve a 1 star, but cannot submit without it.

Way back in the day, you spray Sevin on something, and the bugs were gone. They must have changed the formula, because now it is safe for gardens also, but the only downside, is it doesn't kill anything. We've even sprayed plants every day, then come home the next day, and the japanese beetles and other bugs are right back at it again eating our plants. There has to be some compromise between the highly toxic old Sevin product that actually worked, and this new product that does not do anything. Don't waste your money!
