We used to use the Hot and Spicy mix on pork chops. Since that item was discontinued, I tried mixing a package of the Original Pork with a package of the Crispy Buffalo. Along with using a little hot sauce, the combination of the 2 mixes suffices as a substitute for the Hot and Spicy which is no longer available.
easy, fast, tastes great.
I've been eating these things for about 40 years. Still can't get enough of them.
great seasoning for chicken. spicy and delicious
Crispy Buffalo is our favorite flavor and it has been impossible to find. When I saw it was available online at Walmart I ordered immediately. They delivered my order the next day which was the Fourth of July. Outstanding service. I made chicken wings that night. They were crispy, spicy and delicious! Please don't discontinue Crispy Buffalo.
We usually buy the great value brand but stores were oos for weeks. My husbamd kept requesting so I broke down and bought the name brand. No regrets! Only like 20 cents more per pack than generic so that's a win!
They make a basic spice mix, and they removed the bag that I needed to make it, so I'm using the way more expensive ziplock bag that is to small and to expensive.
I was a big fan of the old flavor. I bought it in bulk and used it frequently... Now, I'm stuck buying this new formula and it's just no good. I would urge you to consider bringing back the old flavor - as a replacement, or in addition to this new one. I won't be buying any until then. Shake 'n Bake (I hate to tell you) is not the trendy bag of chips or pack of gum with a new flavor to tweet and Facebook about every few months; that is not a bad thing. Shake and bake is a beloved tradition, a staple of many households diet, a connection often made at a very young age. Shake 'n Bake is a part of the family and there is simply no substitute; it's more than a product or a brand, it's another person at the dining room table with you each evening. Coca Cola and Cheerios are lauded for making those kind of connections with consumers in a way that most others have not... your mac and cheese brand, the same. Buyers don't "try" Shake 'n Bake, it is at the top their list along with paper towels and other necessities; it's not an option when grocery shopping, it's a given. Don't run from success, don't run from tradition. Don't make the "new coke" mistake with your long-running products. Regulations, costs, and a myriad of other factors may cause a recipe to change, but maintaining regularity in taste and texture is what keeps people buying. If you're going to experiment with new flavors, do it in a way that is independent from your staple products.
the coating mix you added to the bq glaze has totally wrecked the flavor and texture of the glaze... My whole family use to use the glaze until you changed it now we use another product because your bq glaze is terrible ... please bring it back or at least make an option to have it with and without the coating mix ... hugs
I used to eat this at least once a week on pork chops; it was delicious! I made some tonight and couldn't finish it, it's TERRIBLE. I scraped it off and put some barbecue sauce on the pork chops and heated them a little longer. Why did you have to mess with a good thing, Kraft? I threw the second package away.
