Shapely Girl: Let's Get Stepping! Beginner Step Cardio Workout (DVD)

I bought a stepper that came with a DVD and that video was soooo not for beginners. The instructor did a bunch of crazy moves and I was lost and done in 15 minutes. I marched in place just to keep myself moving. At the same time, I bought this Shapely Girl Beginner DVD and was glad I did! Debra Mazda really understands "beginner" level. I like how the entire video is broken up by tutorial, instruction, toning, and more. Debra starts off with basic steps that reminded of the aerobics class I took in high school (mind you, it's been 15 yrs since then, lol). That's the whole reason why I chose step aerobics as my return to the fitness world and it was awesome. I didn't finish the whole session, but it got my heart going and sweating. I would say that it is easy to follow. I'm working myself up to finish the DVD with Debra. Feeling great!

Don't let this workout fool you. I am an advanced excerciser and I was spent when this one was finished. I love stepping but, I don't like intricate step patterns. This was straight forward simple step. I loved it. She works at many levels so, you can choose the level best for you. Great cues and Debra is very motivating. If you love step or are new to step this is for you. I will buy more of her workouts.

I rented Debra Mazda's Step Program from my public library. After renting dozens of step dvd's, this one was the only one I was able to perform -- largely due to her offering a tutorial on it. I have been using Debra's Step dvd routinely since May 2011. I have lost 20 lbs and for the first time in my life have toned legs from my calves through my thighs! This past month, I have added one step and am able to work through it due to Debra's strong encouragement on the dvd. After renewing the dvd twice at the library, I knew I had to buy it! After surfing the web, I found the lowest price at WalMart.

I haven't tried it yet, but I have watched it all the way through. I like that she has other women on there that look like me. I like the way Debra teaches you how to use the step when you have never used one before. She makes sure you have it down before she goes on. I'm 52 so I need it explained to me more than once :) I also purchsed this DVD because of other positive reviews. There were more good then bad ones.

This workout DVD features gals like me - getting back into fitness. Debra inspires me to keep going and even her level 1 step set makes me feel like I have really had a good workout. I bought this DVD when I purchased my new Step to help me get accustomed to it. I would recommend this DVD to anyone getting back into fitness and looking for a good cardio workout and the inspiration to keep going.

Every step is shown in detail and is so easy to follow. I was really surprised that I was challenged during this workout with it being for beginners but I was! I will definitely buy more of the Shapely Girl DVD's.

Love this dvd,it's great for begginers. I have been trying to lose weight and had not lost 1 pound in four weeks, now I'm down 6 pounds after 2 weeks..

Just what I expected. This is a beginners step class. Shows variation of moves depending on how in shape you are.

I work out in the winter months at the gym, I bought this DVD so I could workout at home, and still enjoy my summer activties. The Ladies on this Step DVD are normal people in Shape and Sizes. It's a great workout, I bought 2 other DVD's one Zumba, the other Walk... To mix it up alittle for a 6 day a week workout, give it a try you will enjoy it.
