Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe Upright Vacuum, Pet Friendly, Large Dust Cup, Swivel Steering, HEPA Filter, NV360 Blue

I just bought a new vacuum. I was so excited to find it had been delivered when I got home today. I got it unboxed and used it right away. Mind you, I just vacuumed with my old one YESTERDAY, and today used the new on just the tiny "hall" in front of my bathroom. It's about 5 by 3 feet. LOOK HOW MUCH DIRT AND YUCK! Man this thing sucks!

For years, Consumer Reports continuously recommends the Shark vacuum. Mine is several years old, the hose cracked in half, yes, I could duct tape it, but I ordered a new one. This was ONLY my living room. I vacuum about once a week. This isn’t old or dirty carpet, it looked clean, obviously it was not.

This is such a nice vacuum for the price. It is so powerful that it sucks up all of the dust, hair, dirt and crumbs. It's a little harder for kids to push on carpet if they want to help vacuum, but that's okay, with time they will get used to it too. The other downfall is that if you have kids with long hair that gets on the carpet, it eventually goes around the roller of the bottom of the vacuum and gets stuck, so having to use a scissors and cut it out every now and then is a must to preserve the life the vacuum.

The vacuum works great, a little too great to be honest. I can not use it on my floor rugs I have in my living room and hallway, it is too powerful and will only shut off as if something is stuck in the bottom. I have had to continue using my old vacuum on those rugs which is annoying. Besides that it works fine.

The vacuum works well. The hose is not long enough in my opinion. You can't reach very far without the vacuum falling over because the length just isn't very long. I also had to buy a brush attachment for the hose so I could use this on my baseboards. I should have researched all these things better.

Nice vacuum, disappointing the shark didn't came with stair attachment. The vacuum came with a small crevice tool and basic upholstery tool. Basic attachments for the vacuum. Had I known this shark didn't come with better attachments I probably wouldn't have bought it.

This is the second one of this exact brand of vacuum cleaners that I have purchased . My first one was great and it lasted several years before finally no longer working . I reordered the same model, due to being very satisfied with it. This one however, is much harder to push on carpeting , even after adjusting the air adjustment knob on the side and having it on the carpet setting . Not sure why this is a problem , but I’m not happy about this due to being in my upper 70’s and unable to push heavy objects easily. This is why I’m giving only a 4 star rating ! Other than this issue, I do love this vacuum cleaner. Picks up very well. I do wish however, that Shark would put headlights on all of their vacuum cleaners, as this would be a great feature to have on all of them! Also why just a 4 star rating!

It's nice and light and moves easily. It seems to have all the power I could need. The cord is too short. I used to be able to plug my Dyson in in the kitchen and use it all over the first floor, even reaching into the sunporch, but the Shark definitely can't do that. The way the cord wraps up on the wand part is also somewhat ill-placed. Lifting the wand away from the rest of the machine isn't super intuitive, but I managed it. I got to investigate cordless models because I absolutely hate stepping on a cord barefoot!

the reason this doesn't have a light is so you can't see all the dirt left behind, cheap cheap cheap plastic crap, bumped pet attachment which cracked instantly, smells like it will catch on fire, how is this possible, i spent hours researching this, all the reviews are obvious lies, some reviews said similar vacuums were nice ceiling fans. amazon is nothing but lies so i thought id try wallmart, no difference!!!super disappointed

After over a decade of many Shark vacuums, I LOATHE this model. It is NOTHING like previous Navigator vacuums. I'm not sure why designers feel they have to change things completely and keep it under the same name bc had I known this didn't have the same features as my previous Navigator - which was fantastic especially with 3 dogs - I wouldn't have ordered this. Why would they ever move the on/off from the handle? The canister is far smaller than my last Navigator and now requires two hands to undo two latches. Make it make sense. My old Navigator had three floor options - at the handle - so I could seemlessly switch from the areas in my house that are bare LVP, to my large area rugs to carpet. Why in the world would they go backwards and put the controls where you have to bend over to the middle of the machine. They also stiff you on attachments. My old Navigators came with the long, narrow crevice attachment and the brush rolling attachment for pet hair on fabric. Also, there are no lights on this model. Be VERY leery if you have had a previous Navigator. This is in no way the same. It's junk. I seriously can only use this for maybe keeping to use in my garage - but just looking at it is ticking me off. The other issue is only having a switch for either bare floors or “brush roll on” (vs the 3 options ON THE HANDLE on the old Navigator). Problem is with my many large, thinner area rugs - NEITHER option works. In fact, I can barely push it over my thinner area rug. If I don't use the brush roll option, the bare floor option doesn't pick up anything. So with only two choices - a thin area rug is screwed. Again - COMPLETELY different from all the Navigators I have had. They NEED to include photos of the controls and handles in the pictures. If you are going to keep a model the same name but move the controls, proper advertising would show what the designers changed. Having hand controls is THE most convenient option. I don't understand why they went backwards on this model - except only to charge the same price point but make a cheaper vacuum to retain profit margins. And now I'm truly peeved because I ordered this one directly and now I have to take a hit for a machine that is useless for my needs that I used once. It's maddeningly different from any previous Navigator. I'm so disappointed. My mother just got a new vacuum and swore by her Bissell - I'm so glad I was unsuccessful in convincing her to go with a Shark bc this machine/model is garbage. Plus, she has a retractable cord. After four Navigators, I'm not sure I'll ever buy a Shark again.
