I have three large dogs and I’m compulsively clean. I have in the past used Dyson cordless vacuums, but they only last about a year. I switched back to a corded vacuum and this one is. Works better than Dyson and for the price. It’s the best option.
This is the second Shark stick vac I've owned. I lost the first to divorce. I've had a Dyson Animal, a Kirby, and just about all the common types and brands of vacuums. I will always come back to some model of this vacuum. There's no beating it for vacuuming stairs. I hate matted down, dingey, dirty stairs. This is light weight and so easy to vacuum them with. It gets thwm clean and fluffed back up quickly and easily. It works seamlessly across all rhe flooring in the house including hard wood, luxury vinyl tile, tile, cheap shaggy carpet, and low pile area rugs. It's also great for the car. It can find dirt in carpets that appear clean. It has no problem with the hair from a super sheddy chow/husky, cats, and a long haired daughter. The tank holds plenty and is easy to empty. As far as the attachments and the ease of using them, it's pretty average. I dint really use them much unless it's for something specific so I dont have much to say about them. As I'm vacuuming, I regualrly remove the heas and just use the end of rhe stick part to get into corners, and that partnis alot easier and more convenient than a typical upright vacuum. I also like that the poeer unit can be easily removed from the stick and can be used directly for things like vacuuming out the cupholders in the car and that sort of thing. I'd say the best features that keep me coming back are the light weight that makes it so easy to move it up and down the stairs, on the stairs, and out to the garage and also the easy maneuverability that makes it so easy to get around whatever furniture, dogs, or toys that happen to be in the way as well as way under low furniture. I've never had an issue with it getting clogged or the beater bar getting stuck from long hair or anything getting wrapped around it. It's very easy to keep it clean and maintained. The drawback of the design that makes it all those other wonderdul things is that it doesn’t stand up by itself. The old model I had came with a molded plastic wall hanger that held the vacuum and accessories that made it more convenient to store. If you're vacuuming and need to stop for a second, you can't just stand it up and let go. You have to take the power unit off the stick part with the brush head and set the power unit down, or you have to lay the entire thing down. Either way, it usually requires bending or squatting to pick it back up, and my old knees would prefee less of that. That's just the price of a light-weight, maneuverable design with the power of a much heavier vacuum, and it's a sacrifice I'm more than willing to make. I highly recommend this brand, this design, and this particular model for anyone looking for a new vacuum for just about any situation.
Finally a corded stick vacuum that works on low pile carpet!! I’ve tried 3 other top 5 brands but they didn’t lift the carpet, not enough suction but this Shark does. I have 6 animals and it sucks hair up great on carpet and floors. It’s light to maneuver, excellent lights on the head. I’m trying it for 1 month with hopes it maintains its quality.
I have had 2 cordless vacuums over the last year and they just seem to not keep their power after a few months so I decided I would go back to a corded vacuum. This is so much better! The cord is long enough that I only have to unplug it once while vacuuming my whole downstairs area. We have rugs and hard wood and it work great on both. Never wasting my money on a cordless again! The price is great too, definitely worth it!
My previous vacuum cleaner was a Kirby, supposedly the best you can get. I never really felt that the Kirby was doing a good job. I liked the idea of having a vacuum cleaner that was designed to work on both carpet as well as hard floors so I bought the Shark. The first time I used the Shark it picked up a significant amount of dirt and that was right after I had vacuumed with the Kirby (which had a brand new belt and bag). I also like the rotating/swivel head on the Shark. It’s a great feature. It really makes maneuvering a breeze. Additionally, emptying the dust container is simple.
I have nerve damage %26 limited to no dexterity in my left hand. So, I needed something that I could use one-handed on a great deal of stairs as well as wall-to-wall carpets all over the house. This thing is so lightweight, compact, powerful, %26 easy-to-use that I can do an entire floor %26 more than a flight of stairs without having to rest or empty the vacuum. It comes apart to reach anywhere I need with no more than the click of a button. I can use it on the hardwood %26 it's even strong enough to get dust %26 cobwebs out of the corners of the ceilings in the basement or attic. It's made me stop dreading having to do the stairs %26 I can accomplish so much in so little time with this thing. I hate to say it (rather not feed a cliché) . . . But . . . I love this vacuum!
This purchase was an upgrade from my last Shark Rocket vacuum that I purchased in 2021. This upgraded model now has LED lights which is a plus. It also has a new feature when storing the vacuum. It no longer needs to be placed flat against a wall surface. The top portion of the vacuum now sits on a hook on the base so there is no more “topple over”. Great new features and the suction is amazing. I have all hard surfaces floors and 3 dogs and it does and excellent job.
After a long search, I decided to go with the Shark Rocket Pro. Cordless is convenient. However, I’ve noticed that the cordless lack in suction power. Especially when the battery life decreases. A corded vac provides a constant voltage to the motor which provides consistent suction for prolonged cleaning. This vac is also light weight and great for cleaning carpeted steps. Highly recommended!!!
To anyone who is even remotely out of shape, this is not the vacuum for you. All the weight is in your hand and takes a toll on your arm muscles almost immediately. Pushing a pulling a weight around is what you’re doing. I have a small area to vacuum and my arm gave out before I could finish. You would think by now someone would invent the perfect vacuum, but nope! This one isn’t it. It does “work” fairly well. I got a lot of dust the first time and it was easy to dump and clean. Yeah this one is for the young ones who are in shape. Definitely not for the elderly or chronic pain patients. !
Clogs super easy. I don’t know what they did between the other model and this one but the joints, the stick, are narrow in spots so it ends up stuck in those places. Then the vacuum overheats and it quits. It hasn’t even been a year and it has pooped out. I don’t recommend this model.
