This product is the second one for me. The first one, I bought 2 years ago. I still use it, and it hasn't felled me, but some of the people who visit me have been eyeing it. you know, 5 finger discount!!! I got the second one, just in case that happens. It works great for me.
I don't bend as easily as I used to. this extended shoe horn allows me to leave shoes tied when I take them off and slip them on in the morning without having to tie them or damage the heel part of the shoe, damage by stepping into them.
Overall I like this shoe horn and would buy again. Another 12" in length would be handy for me but it is long enough to keep me from having to bend over when putting on my loafers. The price couldn't be better. The only complaint I have is the flex head. This works against me. I would prefer a solid or fixed head---something that wouldn't flop around while trying to put on my shoes. Still, it keeps me from having to bend over and that was the purpose of buying this.
bought it online without seeing it for 2 elderly ladies. the "horn" is on a flexible spring that moves around when trying to hold the handle of the shoehorn %26 coordinate an elderly person's heel. thankfully it was cheap enough that we just put it in the closet %26 forgot it.
the flexibility is it's downfall. it should be for seniors. Your foot doesn't slide in Rod just Bends and doesn't move your foot at all or just to shoe any. Finger works much better. whomever thought this up was a bad idea.
Would give more stars but this is not built as heavy duty as needed when applying foot pressure into shoe it bends very easily and will even fall apart the bottom piece needs to be either part of the spring or welded together and the thickness needs to be increased so it doesn't bend like it's made of cardboard. Other than these flaws it's not a bad shoe horn!
The flexibility of the shoe horn is actually not a good feature. It causes the shoe horn to shift in the heel of the shoe or boot and make it more difficult to slide the heel over your own heel. We bought it to help my husband, who is recovering from hip surgery, and he has not been able to use the shoe horn at all. We will be returning the item.
Although I purchased this 3-4 months ago, I have only used it 5-10 times and the tape around the handle is peeling away which cause my hand to get sticky after each use so it's going in the trash. Also, the flexibility of the horn is very extreme. Either use it straight up and down or the horn goes perpendicular to the handle rendering it useless. Save your money and get a different one, this one is terrible
The flexibility makes it difficult to stay firm enough to withstand pressure of pushing foot in shoe. Also, the part that the foot goes on is about big enough for a child.
My first use the handle fell off and started to unpeel, and the metal shoehorn portion bent in half.I never got the first shoe on it was a terrible experience. I have a photo if you like it
