So I wanted a timer that would replicate a clock to reinforce “telling time” and this does it! The vibrant red clearly shows how “how long” the wait is and helps to understand what 5, 10, 15, 30, 45, etc..looks like. Great little quiet timer with a solid ding when the time is up! Requires batteries which is not included, no big deal there. We ordered two, one for each child to help them with tasks and time management.

I really like this timer for my personal needs. Easy to use and accurate. It gives three double beeps and then shuts itself off. A good choice.

Delivered without the battery or any instructions so may have been a resold return. Fortunately I had a battery of the right size in my inventory and now it works fine. Easy to track remaining time and has 4 dings at end of the set time. Attractive accessory to the table or stove top.

It works, but we'll see for how long. Built rather cheap. The red is just a piece of colored plastic that gets pulled around. It will do for now. Volume is too low and it shuts off on its own. I wouldn't buy this model again.

it's not magnetic as described but everything else is good. it doesn't really have a kickstand but it just shaped so that it will sit on a table itself.

I thought a "mechanical timer" meant one with physical winding and an old-fashioned bell sound. I did not look carefully enough at the picture and description. This one has a battery, an on/off switch and an electronic -sounding bell. Works fine as a timer but not what I thought I was buying

I recommend this only if you want a large easy to use visual timer, the alarm is very low and turns off quickly, so not very helpful. However the large red area is a nice visual and twisting the knob to set is very easy. This stands easily on it's own, lightweight easy to carry around. I am hoping this will help my octogenarian friend keep track of what they are baking. NOTE: Does not have a magnet

There is no kickstand. There are no optional alerts (or volume control). And there is no magnetic anything. I needed another visual timer, so I guess I'll keep it since it does work for that. It's not worth the hassle of returning it to save a couple of dollars to get a no-frills one to replace it. If you're looking for the kickstand (which I'm not sure why you would since it stands on its own), a magnetic back, or different alert options, then I wouldn't recommend this timer.

As pointed out in other reviews, the time doesn't have any of the mounting options (kickstand, hanging hole, magnetic mount) described in the product specifications. The timer also requires a battery to function, which is a bit of a nuisance for a simple timer.

After several attempts the alarm finally went off. It was very short %26 barely audible. I it hadn't been right in front of me I would not have heard it. Also, it is not magnetic as described! I know it was only $10.00 but, in my opinion, it wasn't even worth two cents!! Absolutely worthless!!
