Slumberjack Sky Pond 40-Degree Mummy Sleeping Bag, 33"x84"

I was looking for a sleeping bag to gift to someone who is homeless. I bought 2 different types. I am very impressed with the quality of this bag. for $14 what a deal. this bag is a 40 degree F mummy style, which is great for keeping the heat in. it has a 2 way zipper as well. we are going camping this summer and these are what we are going to be buying for us.

I had been trying to order for a while at regular price but when it dropped to ten dollars, who could resist. if reg priced I might balk at its slightly lighter filled shell than represented, but still, it's everything advertised. I was wondering why it was rated so warmly and now I know. it's definitely not. a bag id want to use for anything more than a mild fall morning. in a sturdy well insulated tent. on a cloudy but dry night. having said that, best bag for the buck. great materials and construction. nothing flimsy about it but it comes with nice stuff sack. I bet coupled with a bivy sack this could really be what the doctor order d.

I browsed several other sites before ordering. This was a last minute Christmas gift so time was of the essence. This was the cheapest and quickest site compared to other options.

We do quite a bit of camping and most of my camping gear is from Walmart as they have the best prices on some of the camping equipment. I purchased this mummy style sleeping bag as the standard sleeping bags that come with any camping kits comprising pop-up tents, chairs and sleeping bags don't quite fit me well as I am 6'1" and 215 lbs. What I like about this one is right off the pack, I felt the quality is much sturdier, there is so much room inside the sleeping bag; the shape also contours to my body shape without putting too much compression on the upper body as the standard sleeping bags are kind of tighter near the shoulder area. This one is about 3 feet by 7 feet which IMO is ample space for anyone as big as me. This sleeping back comes with a small bag like most ones, putting back is also not challenging; you just have to make sure to roll it tight pushing out the air as much as possible and don't lose the grip as you get to the end. Once you put it inside the bag, the whole thing will adjust itself properly. I only got to use it one night and it was pretty nice and warm, and it covered my head too. Overall, a great value and high-quality sleeping bag at a great price from Walmart.com.

I tested this sleeping bag outside in my backyard and inside the house for a living room camp-out. It was comfortable in both settings. This sleeping bag was pretty warm and I found myself having to open it. I'm 5'7 and I still had space lengthwise. I was worried my shoulders would be too broad but that wasn't a problem. It was easy to get in and out of. The double-sided zipper was easy to zip up and down. My only struggle fitting the sleeping bag back into it's carrying bag. I would definitely recommend this to only anyone looking for a good, comfortable sleeping bag.

it was compact but about half size regular mummy bags,the lining seemed polyester ain't used it yet but it seems long enough and zippers work well hopefully it hold the heat might be good for summer or fall camping

Not a bad deal when on sale but I wouldn't necessarily buy it. the warm rating is to high and I need something that can withstand the real cold winters

It is a good quality bag. I purchased it along with another brand that is slightly smaller and I prefer the look of the Slumberjack. It holds it's shape nicely and is easy to transport. The price is very reasonable and am pleased with this purchase.

Summer bag or use inside another bag not the roomiest bag. Then I am a kicker and a thrasher in my sleep.

This product is not as described. It is a weight more suitable for 65F or higher, definitely not the 40F rated. I wore two layers of wool and a long down lightweight sweater, hat, hood, thick wool socks and even covered my full head and face with the sleeping bag and still was shivering most of the 55F night. Recommend for warm summer nights or indoor controlled environments only. Not suitable for below 60-65F.
