Great Building toy
The largest set of the line, thus far, and a load of pieces. It takes a while to build (about 30 minutes), but when it's done, it's a spectacular look. One SMALL quibble, there's no alternate build specs provided, but I can understand why. The instruction manual is already hefty enough, and if you graduate up to building this set, you are probably already versed in Snap Ships. If you add the Sabre and the Trident sets, you would literally have unlimited options to kit-bash all new vehicles. But make no mistake, this one is a beast ( in a good way).
I was very excited to receive the Gladius in the mail! This is my third Snap Ships and I could not be any happier with the quality of the pieces! I live that they snap firmly for rougher play with the kids. I love that this set brings a lot of original pieces that enhance my other sets! I ended up building a storage system to hold all my pieces, but the box it comes with is just fine for storage. My kids call ""Gladys"" the mother ship and they love when the rover drops down! They get to drive it all over the battlefield. Not to mention the top of the box doubles as a ship display stand! 5/5 Would build to battle again!
I have become very fond of the Snap Ships line. I do tech support for a living, and I enjoy having a few sets of these at my desk to build with during my longer calls. The parts are all very well designed and offer so much versatility in assembly. The resulting ships have a lot of personality and stay together until you decide to take them apart again. This is the Gladius, currently the largest kit available. If offers a lot of unique parts and weapons that really open up options in your builds.
My other grandkids really enjoyed this when I gave it to him. It was meant for his birthday but I ordered it a little late. He was really excited when he saw this in a YouTube advertisement, and he said he would like to get it for his birthday. The product box was a little beat up when it arrived, but the shipping time was very short. I watched a bit as he built it and when he was done he played with it for an hour and a half straight. He also really enjoyed the mini rover.
No doubt this is going to be a hit ages 5-10! We have others and kids love it!
It is a nice display piece and I love the versatility of it. Its got cool features and neat gimmicks. AND all of this is at a very good price. I cant wait to see even more from this line in the future and I would absolutely recommend this to anyone.
This worked great to connect our Super Spinner swing to a tree branch. We accidentally left behind rope and a hook at our old house, and this worked perfectly. Our boys were so happy to be able to use our swing again. #sweepstakes
Great new toy line. My son loves these. They are VERY high quality, and very durable. Kids can make the ships on the box, or use imagination and build their own designs. Nice weight to them as well. Highly recommended.
i really like the simplicity and option of the product, not quite sure how i feel about the app so far as i havent tried it, but i could easily picture this to become a tabletop game with say a point system based on the ammount of cube use and such a la star wars / war hammer 40k
