Cascara for constipation acts very delicately, it does not work immediately, it takes 8-10 hours, it depends on the body, by the way, one capsule is not enough for me, I take two before bed, in the morning it has a very mild effect without spasms, it saves me a lot with my difficulties with the gastrointestinal tract after three genera. I take it occasionally when I suffer from constipation. I have a bowel movement the next day, so it definitely works. I also sometimes take chia seeds, apple pectin, acacia, castor oil, yellow dock, psyllium seed, aloe vera... it all helps me if i'm constipated.

The sort of quality that we trust from this well respected brand. Can cause loose stools for the entire day tho. Caution!

Solaray, Cascara Sagrada works really well - gentle for your stomach.

If you have constipation....this is the best and most gentle.

It's a shame about the magnesium stearate but otherwise a great product. Although it's a stimulant laxative and can cause issues using it everyday long term, I find it much better than using magnesium for a laxative which you may not get much warning with. I have used Cascara on and off for a number of years and always have some handy.

I have these on hand in case a member of my family needs it. I don't think it's a good idea to take everyday, but on the occasion when it's necessary, and not if you have a history of colitis or other bowel inflammation. Daily use for long periods of time have been shown to cause melanosis coli.
