Solo Stove Mesa XL, 7" Tabletop Fire Pit with Stand, Wood or Pellet Bonfire, Ash

Great for people with asthma or conditions aggravated by smoke. Filled with pellets and some twigs, a small cube of firestarter, and it ignites quickly. The fire lasts about an hour. I got a lot of smoke the times I tried refeeding more pellets. If you don't like lengthy, smoky campfires, this is a great alternative. It burns very hot and leaves little ash. I put it under a portable grill grate and cooked over it.

Nothing negative! This exceeds expectations. Creates a nice ambiance. The underside of the stove stayed cool so I think it would be fine on a wooden table (outside of course). We haven't tried it without the heat deflector, but with it, it radiates heat a few feet. You can burn any wood: kindling, mulch, wood pellets.

Loving it. Just be careful not filling it up too much, takes a while to burn through and hard to turn off.

My husband absolutely loved this for Christmas. Perfect size for sitting outside and enjoying.

We used our solo Mesa xl on our 2 week beach stay. Hubs made an outdoor LVR under the outdoor parking area of the house. The house are lifted on stilts for flooding weather. So he set up our chairs and in the middle our perfect small solo, for me, my bestie and pups. Roasting marshmellows and hotdogs every night and keeping warm in the beach fall weather!

I was a little nervous buying, it turned out to be perfect for just me and the dogs! I love a good fire on a cool night on the deck and this is perfect! Only downfall, wish I would have gotten the diverter for the warmth.

I ordered blue. This is definitely not blue. Since this is a Christmas gift I can't return it and get the correct one by Christmas. Hopefully the hubby will like it anyway.

after I e week the company cancelled my order and color of solo stove I had to pay to order from the store it was a gift. the did not let me know for days

I really wanted to like this, but it takes way too much work to keep it going. With pellets, the first light is great and it burns strong for about 30 minutes. After that, you basically have to dump the ash and refill it. I saw people say to toss in a handful of pellets every few minutes, but that's annoying to keep up with and half the time it just killed the flame anyway. I also tried kiln-dried wood, but you have to place it just right or it won't burn well. Overall, way more effort than I want for something that's supposed to be relaxing.
