Assembling is limited to the handle, which is held together with 4 nuts/bolts combo. The necessary wrench sizes are included. This is a little more work than a push pin assemble, but the resulting handle is very solid with no wiggle. Using on bone dry ground is kind of hard, but after a day of rain, it is easy to use. Extra nuts/bolts are included, but I cannot imagine they will ever be needed. also extra spikes and screws to hold them are included for if you lose a spike.
If you live in black clay soil, Do Not wet soil first. It is much easier to drive spikes into soft cement (black clay) and wiggle the spikes back-and-forth before pulling cleanly pulling out then it is too push spikes into black, sticky clay, and pulling out 10 pounds of clay. Other than that, it works wonderfully and good for the money and effort.
This lawn aerator works great and is easy to use. It made my lawn look healthier after just a couple of uses, and I like that it comes with spare spikes.
The aerator was delivered timely. It was easy to assemble. I've only used it once, but it was great. That wide footpad made it easy to use and made an easy job of aerating my small back yard. I can't speak to the durability but if anything comes up I will update the review.
Very well designed and built. Really sturdy. You would have to try very hard to damage it in any way. The right tool for aerating small areas. We have a few tools from this manufacturer. We would not hesitate to buy more tools from them.
it is as described but it was my fault for not understanding what i was buying. these are just spikes that May (Or May Not) poke holes in your ground. it does not remove plugs of dirt like a real lawn aerator does %26 you can run risk of compacting your soil more with this kind. build quality is sturdy
Is wet, or the dirt rather, if it's dry it's very hard to get the spikes in. Also kind of move it back and forth.
does a great job on your lawn . easy to use. took a while to do the lawn 1/2 acre lot.
I'd like the spikes to be longer if possible, but I don't know with a sprinkler systems if that's possible.
Easy to assemble and easy to use! Helped my lawn come back
