STA-BIL Pump Protector - Protects Pressure Washer Pumps, Anti-Freeze & Lubricant, 4 Ounces (22007)

I use this to prepare my electric pressure washer for the winter. It's easy and quick to use. You should apply it outside because the oily/foamy protectant will be expelled out the other side of the washer when done. Have some rags available to wipe up any spills, and protect the storage area for any possible drips. My garage rarely goes below freezing but it's good to know the washer won't be damaged if it does.

The pump protector does what it's supposed to. It attaches easily to your pressure washer and about 2 seconds of spray is all that's needed. Be sure to turn off the engine's ignition switch and pull the cord two or three times to spread the oil inside the pump. I use this stuff after EVERY use of the washer. The oil comes out thick and white and coats the parts well. Regular use of this will make your pump last for years. When applying, be sure not to allow it to get onto walkways as it can cause slippery surfaces.

I have a Power Washer %26 the hose/wand was blocked. I looked up on YouTube to fix it %26 they recommended this item to spray into the wand. I did %26 it works! Simplest fix ever! I have enough left over to use it this fall when I'm finished with my projects.

Works as advertised. I use this for my Simpson power washer at the end of each season. I get two uses out of a single can. A blast from 1/2 can will blow out the water manifold displacing any leftover water so it will prevent it from a serious and expensive crack over the well below freezing winter months.

Very convenient for protecting pump seals and o-rings and I greatly prefer propellant style pump saver products to help blow-out water from the pump. This was a better deal before the day-to-day economic chaos of 2025-26 but so was everything else.

This pump protector does exactly what it claims to do. I use it to winterize my pressure washer and it keeps the seals lubricated and prevents freeze damage during storage. Peace of mind knowing my pump won't crack over the winter is worth the purchase. That said, there are two downsides worth mentioning. First, the smell is absolutely terrible. It has a strong chemical odor that lingers, so I'd recommend using it in a well-ventilated area or outside if possible. Second, this stuff is incredibly oily. If any of it drips or gets on your hands, clothes, or garage floor, expect it to leave a residue that's stubborn to clean up. I learned to keep paper towels handy and wear gloves when applying it. Bottom line: it works and protects your investment, which is the whole point. Just be prepared for the odor and handle it carefully to avoid a greasy mess. Knocking off one star for the unpleasant user experience, but I'll keep buying it because it does its job well.

Brilliant solution to force fluid into pressure washer pump. As it is propylene glycol, it will protect pump as it does a car motor. However, it is very toxic to animals and children if licked (sweet smell I am told). Please place a rag over pump outlet to catch excess that will shoot out when applied. Put the rag in a plastic bad and dispose in dumpster or other trash can with lid. You may save a life, as well as messy oily cleanup.
