STANLEY® FATMAX® 33-370E 30' Tape Measure

You can't beat the standout feature and durability of this tape measure. I have use this tapemeasure whenever I am doing framing and rough carpentry. It's durable and stands up to the abuse I give it. Not to mention that when you're standing on a top plate of a wall trying to reach over to a truss or rafter, the 14' standout comes in handy. It's a great tool

This product is a high quality product at a very good price. There was some misleading advertisement on the description that says the special coating is on 6 feet of the tape, but in fact it is only on the first 3 inches. I believe that someone copied and pasted the description because on the products that actually have the 6 feet of special coating the price is a lot more money. I will use this product for work and be happy with it, but it would have been nice to have gotten what I thought I would have gotten. But with the price I paid, I should have known it was too good to be true. The product is top notch and I have no complaints about the performance of it.

My fatmax tape is just fantastic! The only problem with the fat is that my wife often is using it when I need it. We have more than one but still…it is big, really big and strong. It feels good in my hand. The tape is wide with letters and numbers easy to read. The extended capabilitiy if almost if not a full 41' really! The finish is nice and the yellow is easy to find. Clips easy, rolls up easy and is easy on the pocket. Buy one for the wife and kids too. I did not check on warranty for tape measures, but Stanley really stands behind their tools with a fantastic warrß

This is a nice tape measure. I like the FatMax version because it feels good in your hand being chunkier, but also the blade is thicker and wider so it doesn't bend or break down when you're casting it out as much as cheapo ones do. I also like the plastic body because it can take a beating. Mine is very beat up but still works great. Nice to have it yellow as well for easy finding. Overall I like this measure!

I have been in the construction industry for over 45 years. Stanley tape measures have always been my go to tape measures. Over the years I have had the opportunity to use other brands but I have always returned to Stanley because of their quality and durability. The 30 ft. Fatmax Classic has been my favorite for many years when working in the field. When I'm working in my shop I prefer the 16' Fatmax.

Everything but the retractable spring. It is not strong enough to pull the tape measure in. I'm a field inspector and at times have to measure roofs. Having to pull the tape in is quite a bother. Check it out for yourself in the store. It might be perfect for you.

bent up after one use

Total junk broke after 1 day.. I have seen the quality of these products nose dive in the last few years

After moderate use and extending tape to near 30' spring to retract the tape has failed. contacting support for replacement has been an unsuccessful nightmare
