Worked well to replace a broken tent pole

I bought just to have if needed. I was satisfied with what I got.

I have a 10 year old Coleman tent on which the rain fly poles splintered from age/use. The broken poles were 1/4" (equivalent to 6.3 mm, a size that seems impossible to find) and these 7mm poles worked perfectly as a replacement. I had to cut them down to length which was easy to do with a hacksaw and the kit comes with a threading rod to get the elastic through the poles.

This kit is nice and the parts would work nicely, but unfortunately the the poles are skinnier than what I need for my repair. They are on the skinny side. So if you are trying to repair a larger tent most likely this wont work for you. I feel like the poles would be for a small 1-2 person tent or poles for an awning or shade on a larger tente

Returned this , the poles weren't the right diameter, would have been nice to have that info on the description

I purchased this kit to repair the pole for my tent's rain shade awning. The awning had a total of three pieces and I used this kit to replace them all so that I would have a new pole. I cut all the pieces to the exact length and it fit just like the original. The night we went camping, the tent had only been set up for about 4 hours and the pole snapped in half.
