Fun game, old school graphics but with a modern twist!! If Y”you are a Star Ocean fan, you will enjoy this.
I love the art style and there are so many quality of life updates to the original game, which i loved. So much replayability too. You're definitely getting your money's worth with this one.
The original game was released on the original Playstation, this is the 3rd remaster (2nd on Sony PSP) %26 best yet with better graphics %26 improved voice acting
The item was hard to find in other retailers and was made available at Walmart at a great price. The checkout process was simple and item was received quickly.
If you don't know now's your chance.
One of the best jrpgs I have played
Packages for video games could be better quality. The envelope had glue residue that damages the game.
The game, Star Ocean, itself is fine. However, I pre-ordered it in October because a Bonus Code was supposed to come with it if you pre-ordered. We cannot find the bonus code anywhere. It's not to be found. Nowhere in any of my order does this code exist. Other than that, everything else has been good.
Rating this game is a challenging task. While the story, voice acting, and overall difficulty leave much to be desired—making even the original Resident Evil look polished by comparison—the core gameplay is fundamentally enjoyable and ultimately makes the experience worthwhile. The narrative is a convoluted mess, filled with plot points that lead nowhere, a drawn-out will-they-won't-they romance that stretches over 25 hours, and an awkward love-triangle dynamic surrounding the main character, Claude. Character development is severely lacking, and the most infamous issue is that the main villains are only detailed in an optional text document that 99% of players are likely to overlook. The dialogue often consists of clumsy run-on sentences, which disrupts immersion. While the voice acting is generally subpar, the two lead characters manage to stand out—though it's a small silver lining in an otherwise disappointing vocal performance. Additionally, the translation from the original Japanese leaves much to be desired, with characters coming off as overly obsessed with Claude, a puzzling choice by the localizers. On the flip side, the gameplay shines brightly. While combat may feel a bit simplistic, the ability to creatively exploit the crafting system adds a layer of depth that is both clever and rewarding. Each character plays similarly, but their unique special moves provide a refreshing twist. The world map is a standout feature, offering an expansive and beautifully designed environment that enhances exploration and engagement. In conclusion, I do recommend this game, but with a caveat: prepare yourself for a lackluster story and poorly developed characters. If you can overlook these flaws, the enjoyable gameplay experience just might make it worth your while.
The product has but arrived yet. It was supposed to be here in release day, but skipped and will arrive late.
