The best of Discovery.

For anyone who's getting ready for the 4k release of “Strange New Worlds”, this contains the backstory referenced in episodes 1-3. As for the episodes themselves, I didn't like the retroactive imposition of the new story points on established lore, but the adventures and events are very reminiscent of classic star trek compared to the rest of the show.

Poor acting with childish reused story line

I really wanted to like the show, I really tried. The only thing new in Discovery is modern ship lighting effects. The plots are predictable and reheated from other sci-fi shows. Michael Burnham has a few facial expressions and they are overused, especially sad puppy dog eyes. The last episode of season 2 is the worst, filled with hollow praise of poorly developed characters.
