I fell into the world of Star Trek years ago, and this was a great addition to my collection. The story is a great one to follow, you can easily get hocked in to it, and loose track of time. Knowing there`s two more seasons, I`ll be adding them too.
If you love Star Trek, then this is a must have. Great series so far. Lots of deep thought, multiple layers, and excellent storyline with action, adventure, and anticipation. Looking forward to getting season two.
Very satisfied with this product. Hope to collect all seasons as am an avid "Treky". Glad I got these dvds blue-ray and will purchase the others blue-ray.
i am a star trek fan. so what can i say Love it !
Great show. Can't wait for season two.
Almost done viewing season 1 of Star Trek Picard, 2 episodes left. So far, I like the cast. It's nice to see most of the TNG cast again, along with beautiful 7of 9 and all of the new to Star Trek cast. There's a few little Star Trek hiccups n quirks but nothing worth getting upset about. The one, biggest problem I have with it is......how Star Trek went Warp 11 into the potty mouth wormhole. The first 5 series, TOS, TNG, Voyager, DS9 ard Enterprise are family friendly. So far, EVERYTHING after Enterprise I wouldn't let a child watch, ever. Don't get me started on ST Discovery. What has happened to Star Trek??
I love Picard Season 3. Season 2 was silly and objectively bad. But Season 1 is ghoulishly dark and anti-Trek. The "creators" didn't pretend at all to like the property they'd been tasked to sell (or, perhaps, to destroy). Lousy dialogue, tons of cruelty and snarky characters, 21st century "cool" slang that could not possibly be remembered in a period when Geordi LaForge didn't even understand Dr. Cochrane's use of "leak." Almost zero masculine characters (Picard, dream-Data and Rios all take a back seat to new female characters who aren't the least bit interesting). Picard's legacy is forgotten and mocked (that was changed by Season 3, but why do that to this character in the first place?). Seven of Nine gets transformed into a tough-talkin' action hero gal who was to be a "Black Widow" type in a dumbed-down "Star Trek Universe" like Marvel's, but by Season 3 producers go the hint about how the fans were saddened to see that character thrown away from the sweet and curious "female Spock" who'd elevated the Voyager series in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Seven is now a gun-slingin', Romulan-killin' smooth talker to other women. So longtime Trek fans can tell by that fact that they aren't going to be getting Star Trek if they watch Picard Season 1. And Season 2 held onto the dreariness though we saw the return of Q and a brief moment of Starfleet glory for Rios, who could have been an excellent character. Fans have known for a long time that this series stunk right out the gate. But Season 3 is the best Star Trek made since 2005.
Preorder date sucks, do we have to wait 9 years? Both versions are out on the shelves. Someone messed up.
