it worked it ruined the bugs is that the bugs and is very quiet no messiness you pull out the pad and you change it and you slip another one in. it rid my kitchen of them pesky gnats it even caught a couple of flies as well as mosquitoes. phenomenal product worth the money five stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I was pleasantly surprised. It caught so many flies %26 knats. Most are caught at night when all the other lights are out. The instructions were easy to follow %26 the fan is quiet. I love that the insects are hidden. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

This is working great for gnats, which normally aren't an issue, but this is a WET year! We tried homemade concoctions, but they failed. It is attractive enough that you don't need to hide it. We don't have that much of a problem, but caught 2 the first day it was operating. I'm ordering a 2nd one for the basement! I am SO relieved to have found this.

Great for your house catches all kinds of little fruit flies and gnats. I have 3 in my home in total and the one by my front door attracts anything that comes in with in when the door opens and closes, one by my plants for the random pesky gnat that hangs out by/in the soil and one by the sub pump to catch and drain flies. Swear by there products! They work great for everything but the average fly.

I'm not sure what makes this brilliant invention work, BUT IT WORKS! I've had trouble with summer flies (huge) and sewer "monkeys" (I call them that!) or drain flies or fruit flies - tried everything, drano, enzyme, vinegar, bleach, baking soda, hot water, boiling water - sprays, you name it - still have to find the source, but this fly "zapper" is getting it done! Bout to order another or 2 - little pricey, but if they work, it's worth it! So sick of flying bugs!!!!! Humidity and hot weather - bugs - ah well, such is life. Buy IT/THEM! tried other "light" blue/ultraviolet and those didn't work, it's something to do with the fan, the bugs start sniffing around and it's like a quick sand, the get sucked right in - easy removal of "sticky" pad and replacement.

I wasn’t sure at first it worked as described and the reviews stated it worked almost immediately. However, after a couple of days and placing the unit in a different location, the sticky pad was ready to be replaced. The unit caught those pesky fruit and house flies. The pad was easy to replace and no mess or smell from insecticides

Returned a similar item and gave this a chance. I'm SO glad that I had! This works amazingly!! Mosquitos, flies and miller moths don't stand a chance with this. I. did wait too long to switch out the pad. I won't make that mistake again. J do highly recommend this!! I'm also glad that I purchased 4 refills when I bought this!

Well made. Easy to use. UV light works great to attract fruit fly and gnats. Fan is way underpowered, and the holes in the capture area are big enough to let the fruit flies back out. Glue paper is not sticky enough. I watched flies go in and then fly back out the bottom. BUT, I enrolled fly paper and put it in the bottom, which covered more area and was way more sticky. Doing that captured about 4 times more flies. I also put fruit fly lure (liquid) in the little cup under the light. So between the light, the lure, and the fly paper, it worked fantastic. Also, the fly paper rolls are much less expensive than the sticky paper that comes with it.

For the cost of over $35 this was not worth it and I ended up returning it. In theory the idea seems good but the fan is really weak and would only be suitable for a very small space like a bathroom. I had it in my living room and while the light did attract the pesky flies, the fan wasn’t strong enough to suck them in to get stuck on the sticky paper. I ended up getting the normal sticky papers which work better and are much less expensive than this device.

This is really easy to use. Aesthetically speaking it's attractive (as these things go). It's virtually soundless. The light is not intrusive. A low, small fan to draw the bugs in. There are sticky discs you put in the bottom of the device to keep the flies and gnats once they find there way in. But it has not performed as suggested. I think the fan is not strong enough. and there is no adjustment. We were swarmed with gnats. To the point that this gnat catcher should have been just littered with their little corpses. After several days, there were 4 on that strip at the bottom of the device. 4. My grandson, being armed and entertained with a fly swatter, was able to do more control. I would not recommend this device. However, i would recommend allowing a pre-teen permission to swat things and arm them with a .99 fly swatter from the dollar store.
