good for heating food in woods.
I would buy this product again
As advertised and efficient arrival with free shipping.
These were the smaller cans so they would fit inside my fondue pot sterno holder that has a sliding cover so I can control the heat a bit more. The camping size that was at my Walmart store was too big to fit inside it. I like that it only burns for 45 minutes too.
I've never used anything like this, it was handy during a storm one night. There was no chance of a fire. We had a bunch of fish to eat. I ended up having to use two for a family of 5. Little bulky with the stove but came in handy.
The item was fine but one of the packs had the lid popped off in packing/transit (?) and we had a nice green mess in the box. Not a lot lost but enough to make a sticky mess and bad impression. The lid popped back in and we're good to go "now".
We had to use 2 because these are very small and 1 didn't heat up fast enough. I would recommend the brand because it lasted longer than 45 mins but would recommend the bigger size.
Lasted longer than anticipated.
Cools off quickly. Light indicator for cool and hot. Heres the hitch: I used the Sterno Folding Stove. I use the small non stick camp cooking kit. I tested with the little kettle with 3 cups of water. I used the small sterno 45 minutes fuel can. It took 27 minutes to get a boil. 14 minutes w/o kettle lid and remainder I put the kettle lid on. On the second test I took a small foil loaf pan to move the fuel can higher and the 3 cups of water took 20 minutes to get a boil going(with the lid on the total 20 minutes). The can did last the stated 45 minutes. I would suggest the larger fuel can. Since I have 2 more small cans left I will use a empty tuna can for those and purchase larger ones next time. I will purchase another folding stove so I can have water going on both. One to drink and one for mashed potatoes. While mash is getting ready set aside to cook up some meat. If you're on the move daily 20 minutes to boil 3 cups of water is too long. Go for the drops water filter and your water will be ready the next a.m.(drops 4 hours to kill Crypto). Sorry for so much info. Good Luck
Ordered 4 of the 3 pjs. Have been having trouble finding them. But 2 of the 4 stacks of 3 were dented. Am I going to go through the hassle of returning online a $8 item. Probably not, but I ordered these for my ceramic deck flame pots and the dented ones won't fit. Disappointed.
