This second bedrail that I have bought from this brand. Rail is sturdy, serves purpose. Shipping was fast.
I'm not using it on the side of bed as manufacturer expectations. I have a 15 year old dog the manages fall off the foot of the bed. Don't ask me how he rolls out of a square dog bed and plop! He's on the floor yelping and barking until I am awoken to rescue him. We have only had to rescue him once with this bedrail. You have to be mindful and make sure it hasn't moved too far from the bed or there might be another plot and rescue. Without this bedrail I don't think I'd sleep as well at night.
It's a nice looking thing, does what it's supposed to do in terms of preventing child from falling down from the bed. I'm not sure if it really folds down like the pictures show. In my case the mattress of our queen bed sits slightly in the frame, below the border of the frame, so this feature can not be used. It comes in a slim box disassembled. Putting it together is not extremely straightforward, but it can be done. Delivery was a pain though. If you've got a PO Box, don't use that for delivery.
I bought this about a month ago, it does exactly what it says it will do. The only issue is that I don't have a boxspring, and the mattress is not heavy enough to hold it down - the mattress sits on top of a wooden plank. It does fit a single bed properly and is as long and sturdy as I expected it to be.
Great for keeping the little one in his bed, do not enjoy the effort in trying to get it out from between the mattress and boxspring to prop up, either slides all the way out of the holder or you are shoving at the mattress to allow for room to place into the locking holders.
It fits we'll and seems pretty solid. Only complaint is that we don't have a box spring, so it kind of squishes the mattress in order to fit, and it won't fold down all the way like it's meant to. It would be perfect with a box spring, but also works okay without.
I bought this to keep my 10-year-old dog from rolling off the bed onto the hardwood floor. I had a big ottoman at the side of the bed to cushion her fall, but it was taking up a lot of floor space and walking room. It's sturdy, fits my queen bed just fine and I think it will work just fine.
Bought this for my toddler's twin bed. Works fine except can't unfold it because of the way it sits inside the bed frame with this particular bed. Otherwise its a great safety add on and keeps my child in her bed!
I like how sturdy and secure this bed rail is but my goodness it is next to impossible to fold down. You have to make sure you have it folded down before you put your toddler to bed because there is no way you'll be able to do it while holding your sleeping toddler.
I bought this bed rail because I've had a couple Summer brand in the past that have worked well for us. Unfortunately they've changed it a bit and now there's a bar near the bottom on the mattress side that sticks out. This makes it so that it won't work with beds where the mattress sits in the frame (as opposed to being on a box spring). I couldn't get the mattress to sit back in the frame again so I had to return it and look for another that didn't have this extra bar on it. I'm not sure what purpose the extra bar serves aside from being annoying and making it harder to get the fabric cover over it.
